ahh okay..mula 2003 pa pala yung invecs 3 na 6 speed nila? kala ko bago lang to..hehe mejo lumang technology na pala ng mitsu ito?

correct sir.. i wouldn't say that's bad though.. a vios 1.5 will do the same, mas mababa pa nga minsan.. ;)

4G18 engine + invecs cvt transmission (runs through all cedia bodied lancers from 2003 up to 2011).. yung sa Ex, 4B11, cvt din yung mga A/T nila., not sure about the tech though if they still call it invecs..

*istan: invecs3 na po yung 2003? yung 2007 GT 2.0 (4G63) kasi invecs2 pa din.. so tingin ko invecs3 came out 2008? not sure though.. hehe.. yung distinction ata yung 'Ds' na option, wala pang ganun sa '07GT. hehe..

Invecs3 na yun 2003 Lancer.
They came out with 2007 Lancer GT 2.0. Since Invecs3 CVT can't handle 2.0 power back then, they changed the transmission to Invecs2 (which is a standard 4 speed A/T w/ a fancy name)

Highway FC is around 12 - 14km/l, basta maintain 80-110kph.
City FC...well depends on how heavy the traffic in your area is. Can be 6km/l to 8km/l.
On City, mine averages 7.6km/l. Heavy traffic e.

Regarding Vios vs Lancer. Yes, Vios should consume less fuel than Lancer, because its smaller and lighter + smaller diameter wheels. But for a price of a sub compact Vios, you can buy a bigger compact Lancer.

factory defect - and they should replace it costing nothing on you or on a very very minimal fee if needed, 6k is a lot!

Yes, I'm scheduled tomorrow, so malalaman na ba talaga kung ano. Idler Bearing (30% Chance) or Compressor (70%).

Well, I understand the labor and reciever/drier replacement fee.

I'll keep all of you posted. MMPC is coercing me that if I don't go through the General Service Cleaning worth 6.6k, my warranty will be void after the Compressor repair. (can you feel the evil forces?)

not sure about the difference when you hit the +/- part of the shifter, but the GT does 6 speed on that mode not sure kung magkaiba kapag naka plain D kung 4 lang un.. i don't even know if the GT has the CVT or the usual AT or if the computer can limit the points on either mode.. hehe.. anyhoo... OT na ata., pero di naman siguro.. transmission part naman ng lancer pa din. :D

gusto ko minsan ng [H] but looking at my lancer, ok din, i like how it looks and how it feels. :D

ingat ingat sa beige '99 or '00 Honda City. driving at Taft-P.Burgos mga 1am kanina, the thing was moving at around 25-30kph siguro.. maluwag yung lane nya.. nung parating na ko, umabot na ko sa tabi nya, mas mabilis ako mga 40-50kph ako, so mauunahan ko siya, sinabayan ako bigla tas ginitgit papunta dun sa walled-island eh sobrang laki nung space nya sa lane nya! almost banggain ako 1 finger-thick distance na lang talaga sabit na., brake na din ako nun, hinayaan ko na lumagpas, nagbagal din siya *#$% talaga.. pero eventually, umalis na din, di na ko humabol mahirap na.. kasama ko din si gf, pinigilan na din ako, paalisin na lang namin, mahirap na gabing gabi na din.. tsk tsk.. kung nataong mainit ulo at may baril siguro yung ginanun nya, nayari un. lasing siguro.

Meron naman tayong protection sa hindi tayo pwede pilitin sa nire-recommend nilang service.

However, ini-lalaban nila sakin yung pag-skip ko ng isang checkup.

Ang ini-laban ko, hindi ako magbabayad ng 6.6k na parang highway robbery para lang sa General (aircon system) Service Cleaning. I entered into a verbal agreement, and challenged them to explain and justify what the 6.6k is composed of. Pag na-breakdown nila yan, pwede pa ako pumili ng gusto ko ipagawa.

Even MMPC is shocked by that price. Even the warranty man in Mitsu-dasma doesn't know how to explain that amount.

Bukas malaman natin yan mga bro. Bukas schedule ko sa mitsu-dasma.

Here's an update:

I got rescheduled to Tuesday.

So we all got settled into replacing my compressor (on-warranty), plus the reciever-drier and freon recharging of course. I saw the breakdown of 6.6k, and I don't see anything in it that I need to replace in my current system. Ok na kami ng planta (MMPC), nag-agree na lang ako sa setup na ok lang wala na ako warranty basta palitan na yung compressor. But I gave them my point that if this is the trouble that an owner would take to replace a compressor, I'll just gladly let go of the warranty and DIY everything.

So I went home reassured that I'll get my compressor on Monday. Nag-text si Mr. Warranty-man ng Mitsudasma after 2 hours, and said: "Sir, Mit-Air has orders not to give you a compressor unless you undergo a cleaning". Ok na sa MMPC, hindi okay sa Mit-Air. Galing!

I really don't understand why am I being pushed to the extreme, when all I want was a new compressor.

If someone from Mit-Air can read this, read this aloud:
I am under warranty and your Mit-Air Compressor has a surprisingly short life. No statement in my service booklet says that I should follow all of your recommendations. Nag-give way na nga lang ako to let go of the warranty dahil malabo ata yung policies somewhere just to get my new compressor.

Sarap mag-hagis ng compressor diyan sa factory sa Pedro Gil.

anyhoo, if Mit-Air operates under MMPC, then weird nga un.. parent na yung may approval pero ayaw pa ng subordinate..
