Lancer GLS/GLX CVT 1.6 2009 Owner post naman dito

Fan of the lancer evolution 7 through 9 but can't afford one, so the closest I can get is this lancer, it had the appealing 'pogi' looks, at least for me. :D

Vios - I don't like my gauges in the middle of my dashboard, I don't like the front design too
Rio and Accent - I don't like the interior either and I'm not sure how well they're doing, did not really become interested on them
Sentra - too plain

Had the Honda City vs. this Lancer when I was out hunting for my first car. I like both but I guess the price to features comparison of the two just gave the decision to get the Lancer. bang for the buck and it's the closest I could get to an evo, at least for now. I also had the civic on the choices but thought there are already a lot of those on our roads, I see at least 15-20 of those everyday, while the lancer, just one or two every 2days. :D

Feature-wise, for an even cheaper price as its direct competitors, you get 4wheel disc brakes, an engine that probably most mechanics already know, i love the design of the dashboard, i like the body, i like the smoked head and tail lights. so many others. bottomline, i'm happy with my purchase. :D

hehehe, i actually wanted the Ex though, pero sobrang mahal din kasi not only the retail price pero malamang pati insurance, etc etc nun mas mataas, so more expenses., not willing to go that far. so i opted for the cedia, gwapo pa din naman.. i get workmates and friends asking me about our car and how good it looks., has rain gutters all-around (except front windshield syempre), full medium black tint 80% heat rejection on all glasses, well maintained shine, and a ralliart badge., looks really good na, andali pormahan.. further.. hehe.. :D

+1 sa diamond motors. heard good stories sa marcos branch, though i got mine from greenhills branch, ok din after-sales, mababait mga tao..

*myk384: accent diesel = tipid + power. hehe. Pero iba pa din build quality ng mga japanese makes (kahit di na sila japan CBU) compared to korean makes. Iba pa din Lancer lalo na ung GLS, such a smooth tranny and just enough power sa 1.6 engine. Gotta love that CVT.

guys may nakapag try na ba sa inyo na magparetrofit ng projector or nag bolt on na headlight?

balak ko to, nakakita kasi ako sa mitsulancer na worth 6k. Siguro after 3 years na lang, syang warranty sa electrical e. hehehe.

meron isa retro fit ng lancer kaso mukhang mahal kapag retro fit...member ka din ba ng mitsulancer *dale?

Yup. Ok mga tao dun. may group din exclusively for cedia.
Regarding retrofit, mas mahal siya pero mas maganda ang buga ng ilaw. Less glare effect din sa mga kasalubong mo. nakakinis kasi yung mga naka HID bolt on lang na walang cutting.

Bro, gumagamit ka ba ng pabango sa kotse? Kasi nabasa ko nun na yung pabango minsan ang nagccause ng mabahong amoy. Parang napapanis siya. Di ko lang maalala kung san ko nabasa yun. BTW, 25k na yung akin pero la ako naexperience na ganun. Ionizer lang gamit ko sa kotse ko tapos, nagpapabango lang ako pag nasa opis na.

same experience but when i opened the vent behind the glove compartment my mga particles doon like plastics,hairs,dirt etc. It might be your carpet too, like mine kc i was carrying fish at one time so i had to open the window overnyt.
my friend suggested lysol aerosol spray while running the aircond to remove bacterias attached to the air vents and fins. pero di na ako umabot doon kasi , it was my smelly carpet lang.
anyway some few tricks i read in the net is to open the window upon starting the aircond due to toxic chemicals coming from heated plastics.
