ok enjoy driving and wish u luck

February 20th, 2010 12:30 PM #438Hello!!! This is an update for the SMOKE GETTING INSIDE THE CABIN."
RESOLVED!!
Mine is monty 3.2 GLS SE. The Auto fan and auto air direction is the culprit!! When both are in auto, the fan is in very high gear when you start your car or when the sensors on the dashboard or the cabin senses the need to have a fast blower. When they are in high air blower, the air vent, where the air is coming from outside and entering thru the hood, will slightly open (maybe designed that way or the flip flop is not strong enough to cover the vent when pushed by strong air pressure) and, from ther, the outside air enters the cabin. If the blower keeps on blowing strong air, you can smell the air from the outside. This will also happen even if the auto fan is off but the fan is turnED to blow hard and fast. I all instances, the air vent is set at closed (yelow light is lit) to indicate that the flip flop should be tightly closed. But for whaterevr reason, it will slightly open.
SOLUTION!!! Permanently close the air vent where air comes from outside. The flipflop still operates to open and close but it becomes uiseless. THEY DID IT TO MY MONTY! Now, no more smoke inside the cabin!!!
ISSUE: what is the side effect? dont know yet except that if you want fresh air from outside (like when you are traveling in a highway full of trees and lakes), you need to open the window and blow all what is inside the cabin. Not to mention the loud sound caused by the air coming in and all the passengers will be disturbed. But better than a smoke in the acbin. My guess is the air filter that filters the circulating air inside the cabin might not be strong enough for the strong blower which is being compensated by the flip flop to slightlly open and suck air from outside.
SO there the mitsubishi thing.
BUT I LOVE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CAR AND THE C5 CASA PEOPLE. I SALUTE THEM!!!

February 23rd, 2010 06:16 PM #439A brand new unit should not at all stall. If I were in your place I'd be screaming mad at Mitsubishi Otis now. Don't accept the SA's recommendation that you wait till the 1k km periodical service interval. This is crap. Tell him/her you want your unit fixed ASAP. You have all the right to request for immediate attention.

naexperience niyo ba pag nilagay sa P (park) at hindi nag handbrake tapos shift sa R or N or D may sabit? may tutunog na parang nabali na bakal...
Yung extra AUX Fan is useful sa mga naka montero. Mag improve daw yung AC system since may extra...
