I have this Montero sports gtv 2011 and im having a problem with the engine shutting down all of a sudden while running on the road. Does anyone here having the same problem?

Stalling might be the appropriate term sir .

Bring your unit to a reputable shop/casa. The Suction Control Valve might be due for replacement. Fuel Filter can be a culprit too.

haha thanks. I'll try and have it looked at, hope it would solve the problem coz it's kinda scary when the engine STALLS in the middle of a highway.

Guys, any idea kung pano ideal to? May small portion na may rust sa monty ko. Under warranty pa sya, planning to bring this sa casa kasabay ng 35k kms PMS ko.

Subject for warranty ba yan? And since, I have very little patience sa ganyang bagay, pede bang lagyan ko na lang ng rust converter yan? Any idea kung anong gagawin ng casa dyan. Subject for repaint ba yan? Initially, binrush at nilagyan ko lang ng wd40.

Thanks for the advice but none of it worked, still the engine keeps on stalling once in a while. We brought it back to casa, they detached something at the computer making the digital center display almost worthless,even the button at the wheels is not functional but it has lessen the stalling. Will probably trade it in on ford, anyone knows if ford got some issues? But if someone here is interested in my monty just let me know.

2010 gls a/t. Ang tanong ko tungkol sa inhibitor switch. Na experience ko na rin ang problema na nawawala ang indicator between neutral and drive. Instead of replacing the switch, pinalinis ko muna. It worked for maybe 25K mileage pero bumabalik. Di ko pa pinalinis ulit. When you do an internet search, maraming comments about the inhibitor switch, at marami sa mitsu cars. Very few posts about the inhibitor switch being an issue with toyotas.

Is this a more common than we think problem?
