Hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but, what are the components of a complete high performance ignition system? What are the benefits of having one?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Got a few tips here ehehe but still don't know why the wires are usually advertised as low resistance, or how does the thickness of the wires affect performance.

Kung low resistance, more of the electricity goes to the sparkplug rather than being used up as heat (mataas nga kasi ang resistance).
Ganun din ang principle for thicker wires. More electricity can go to the spark plugs.
But the question is, does your ignition system really make that much power for resistance to be a problem? For most stock systems, the answer is no.

Cool Thanks.
Dami ko natututunan... Actually I'm went for an 8mm Sportline (US) which was moderately priced compared sa Splitfire (php 3,600). Kahit na pa kyut lang.
This years' projects, include IHE, Suspension, upgrade... then maybe next year na yung Engine swap... Thus, I probably won't run into an ignition upgrade till next year.
Thanks for all the info.
