Baka may problem ang vacum or solenoids niya. Best thing to do is have it checked by Joseph Atutubo (resident Pajero expert).
In the meantime, keep it in fulltime 4wd mode ("4H"). This will prevent any further damage to the system as the system is in it's 'relaxed' state at 4H.
The Pajero system is unique in the sense that it's default mode is all wheel drive. It can only go to 2wd by 'forcing' itself (via vacum and solenoid action).
In 4H, you are running in a mode no different from a Toyota RAV4.
4HLc and 4LLc are strictly for offroad use only.
As for the tranny, baka hindi gumagana ang overdrive niya. There is a button on the side of the shifter for that. Baka hindi naikabit ang wiring ng maayos. Overdrive is equivalent to 4th gear.

July 12th, 2004 10:15 AM #3tamang tama si otep. i replaced on of my solenoids already when my front indicators kept blinking.
Otep, have you replaced your solenoid na. hwag ka kumuha ng solenoid sa casa, sobrang mahal. maybe joseph can source out some that don't cost what the casa is charging.

July 13th, 2004 08:23 AM #6hi all, thanks for all the replies and thanks jay101 for creating the thread.
Just got back from the talyer and they said they've asked around subic, sa mga mekaniko doon and they said that baka OVERDRIVE CLUTCH yung may problema. Ang sabi sa amin Iangat namin yung rear and then patakbuhin namin, kapag swabe yung kagat ng downshift kapag in-off yung overdrive then itesting namin kung the same ang kagat kapag tumatakbo sa kalye.
Nice meeting you both po. Hopefully kung maayos yung tranny tuloy kami sa Sabado to fix the blink-blink if not, resched.
thanks for all your replies. Will keep you posted kung naayos nga...

luckytruck/andy,
Somehow my 4wd system has a 2wd mode again.
On a side note, I tore both my inner half shaft boots. I'm looking for a bigger boot to compensate for the steeper driveline angles due to my suspension lift.
