Cranking up the boost on the 4D56TDIC

The plastic tube allows the Pajero to draw cooler air from outside the engine compartment (cooler air = more power). It also makes the Pajero more capable of fording water because it can still draw air from inside the fender should you encounter headlamp deep water. I have, and believe me, that plastic tube gave me the confidence to go on.

thank you sir Otep for the heads up, I thought it would make the airflow smoother, so although removing the plastic tube would allow more air in the intake it does suck in air heated by the engine....

I have actually tried this and noticed low end power loss (a bit) but my speed peaks faster at higher rpms. have not yet tried it at noon and heavy traffic though.

anybody familiar with the non muffler setup?

Acts as a spacer/leverage para tumaas yung actuator, (thus increasing boost of the turbo once it kicks in). That is why you need a longer bolt na rin para same thread depth pa rin yung nakakapit sa turbo housing. If you use the same bolt, less part of the bolt is holding it down. Delikado IMO.

will this work on the VGT of Montero 2011?
