why?
because with intercooler, power is REALLY better. even with an a/t, it is damn noticable, my pops misses it and eager to have it installed back. we are not using it for two weeks na eh... bumigay yung radiator hose. I'm desperately looking for a intercooler pipe. rad hose just won't do after more than a year.
though my pros and cons din. mas responsive yung walang intercooler with washer lang, good for city driving. while heavyloads and uphill does best with intercooler. I'm even thinking of a stupid idea of valve gates, where I could switch pipes to direct intake or intercooler.
A.Y said it all,. madugo nga literaly... and they say boost controler is more efficient. sa washer kasi, lumalabas parin ng air. while boost controler controls your air via wastegate.

July 2nd, 2008 11:27 PM #243mga sirs, newbie po.. im also interested in doing this mod on my paj subic 2.5tdic. i saw and bought a boost guage from concorde mega * P899.75, the brand is auto guage.. i hope it will serve its purpose though cheap(er) than the other brands..

there is a pic somewhere in this thread. wala akong pic ngayon but here is an illustration where to put the washers...
the washer should be between the wastegate and the compressor housing.
therefore, put the washers at A,B,D&E.
about the autogauge. ok lang yan brand. yan din ang gamit ko. but I didn't like it, after a year ng gamit, nag fafade na yung sticker sa loob. babad kasi sa init yung gauge.
may isang brand yung sana bibinili namin, it has a pro racing look but hindi namin kinuha kasi .bars, but I realized, we should have got that one. ang dali lang naman e convert then memorize your .bar limits.
just make sure you get a boost/vaccum gauge, its better to fully know your turbo is going boost all the time, not vac on occasions.

last question po?? can i do this to a 2.5L diesel L-300 not sure sa mkina nya... bat sabi nila preho lng mkina nun sa pajero?? i jst dont know which one heheh

1. free muff exhaust
2. larger exhaust pipes
3. K & n filter open type + breather
any shops you recommend na posible n sila n gumawa nito.... est naman po inc labor....
nweiz.... i came up with some site na they used bleeder valve instead.... pero on my opinion.... mdyo matrabahu kc trial and error ang pag set.. unlike with the wash modz.... set n tlga ang bukas ng actuator......

July 20th, 2008 02:50 PM #248hi guys, newbie here. i just want to share my experience with you guys, i have a 98 model space gear local version, after reading through these pages the last couple of days and after consulting with my trusty mechanic, this morning i installed three (3) washers on the actuator can mount, the 3 washers total 4.56 mm. me and my family went to church and after a 15km drive i opened the hood before going to church to check if any abnormalities would result. well, aside from a slightly hotter engine bay, there was nothing unusual. oh by the way dwhile driving along slex i noticed an increase in power, mas magaan ung takbo ng space gear ko
.
by the way, my mechanic told me not to use an air filter in the crank case hole where the hose was, sabi niya, instead of spending for the filter, just remove the connection of the hose to the filter and angle it downwards para tatapon na lang kung ano man ung lalabas na oil dun.
finally, i also removed the small plastic tube that connects th air filter housing to the fender wall, mas nakakahinga ang engine, ramdam ko especially in low rpm situations.

Applies to both 4d56 and 4m40 engines. I used these pictures to show to the mechanic when I did the same procedure on my pajero 4d56 tdic. its on microsoft word fomat.
But to make it public, siguro we need to ask the permission of pajerokid before I can share it back to tsikot public?
