Cranking up the boost on the 4D56TDIC

not sure about the stock psi ng 4m40...but pwede naman deduce na two washers added made 11psi, added an extra washer and it made 12psi, so 1psi/washer and therefore, 9psi stock boost. boosting 14psi max ako through 5 washers, 15 pa nga spiking eh on 6 pero sumisingaw yung plumbing, or bumibitaw yung wastegate, dunno yet.

noteworthy: yup, dagdag maintenance.

makakatulong din po ba ang blanking of EGR valve, di ko lang alam mag attahced ng acrobat or image mula sa pc ko para makita kung paano.

update ko lang po regarding running high boost...

i moved the intercooler intake clamp away from the end of the tubing (it's the tube which goes from the turbo to the intercooler), and i can now sustain 14psi boost for around 5-10 seconds, unlike before where i had actually put the clamp close to the end of the tube and when i try to boost 14psi sisingaw kagad. sumisingaw pa rin after around 5-10 seconds now pero at least i can sustain 14psi longer. i guess problem ko talaga was the plumbing, it was leaking somewhere...

what do you mean by the IC clamp? its the clamp that holds the tube?

yup!

i replaced the ic hose na, still same thing. baka nga may singaw somewhere, or compressor surge. oh well.

at what boost is there loss? 15 psi?

sisingay siya if i suddenly go at least 80% WOT, 15psi peak then boost drops.

it doesn't happen actually if i graduallt go WOT, but in some cases (50/50 siguro), it'll have the same problem when the a/t upshifts

gayahin mo na lang ginawa ni woodfire sa 4m40 niya, all stainless piping and those fancy blue elbows. maganda na, and most likely mawala ang singaw
