February 23rd, 2007 01:25 PM #1I'm considering getting a surplus cj3b mitsubishi jeep. I've seen a lot of them on the roads of Mindanao and they look robust and economical. Anyone have experience with this vehicle? Tnx.

February 28th, 2007 12:19 PM #2Anyway, the mitsubishi cj3b manufactured under license from Willy's has a 4DR6 turbo diesel engine pumping out 94 horsepower. Not bad. I tested it on a 45 degree incline and it had no trouble in high or low range, 4WD mode, of course. It cruises easily at 80kph and on the hiway its road noise is a hum that is music to my ears. Since this vehicle is converted from right-hand drive, I still have to have the driver's seat travel extended so my knees don't feel like their touching my chin.
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
