    Thanks!
Hilahin mo yung seatbelt sa right front seat, sa dulo ng belt nakalagay kung anong year yang sasakyan inassemble. One thing with japanese imported cars, kahit 1994 model sya ang kasabayan nyang OEM dito satin e 1998-1999.

bale una kasi nilang sinusubukan domestic (Japan) tapos saka nila ilalabas sa international market so kahit late model parang bago pa rin...

    Hello All,

Mayroon akong nabili na second-hand converted Mitsubishi RVR Exceed model 2001-02 model (). First time ko sya nabili the performance is still very good for a vehicle of its model. Ang hindi lang maganda ay yung way paano pinosisyon yung throttle dahil maalog at may tendency na matanggal katagal (which is nangyari nga later on).

The problem started when I had it registered and someone drove the vehicle papuntang LTO. Nasa trabaho ako at inasa ko lang sa partner ko na ipadala yung sasakyan. For some reason parang balasubas yung driver at during their stay there , hindi na raw maiistart yung sasakyan.

My problem is that I will need to switch it a few times bago magstart ng matino at kailangan alalayan sa gas pedal para mabigyan ng boost at magrebolusyon. RPM niya ay bumababa sa 500 at may ocassion na namamatay especially pag naka reverse ako. But by and by, nakakaraos naman at dahil pag mainit na makina nya at mangyari man yon madali naman iistart agad.

To make the long story short, inayos na namin ng barkada ko yung throttle and he made a new brace na talagang mas matibay naman at maganda na pagkakaposisyon. However a new problem surfaced the following day na kung saan talagang ang hirap na iistart. We check everything mula sa hangin at bato ng gas at pati sa spark plugs, where napansin ng barkada ko na medyo may palya yung timing where yung isang spark plug ay nagmimisfire. I bought a set of it para palit lahat., however the problem still persists. For some reason sa kakakalikot at start namin ng ilang beses umandar naman finally. Dinala namain agad sa kanila to have it check dahil may gamit sya doon at mas magamay sa makina yon kaysa saakin.

The current problem now is that pag lumamig ang engine ay hard start na sya. Kailanganng konting masahe sa gas pedal at sabay switch para umistart ng matino, otherwise madidiskargahan ako ng baterya pag pinilit ko. Hindi ko pa solve yung problema and I fear babalik ulit ito at ayokong tumirik in the middle of nowhere when it happens. I'm planning to send it to Rapide or Servitek but I heard the former chanrges astronomical rates sa services nila, though I'm not sure about servitek, but I'm planning to solve the rpoblem on my own first and hopefully you guys could give valuable inputs about the problem.

Feel free to reply here, or on my email sa maikerumouse at yahu dot com.
    Thanks In Advance.

I guess I found the problem on my own: it was the fuel pump all along. The only thing left for me is to find an exact part sa Banawe. Right now I found a quick fix by helping the pump to push more fuel by adding an electronic switch. No more fears of getting punk'd by the problem in the middle of nowhere again. That'll do habang naghahanap ako ng permanent fix for the meantime. Thanks to myself I guess .

Finally solved my problem 2 nights ago, again thanks to myself , of course with some big help from friendly sites and a buddy of mine who know more about cars than I do.

It was indeed the fuel pump. Unfortunately I don't have time to browse Banawe for parts to replace (i came close to doing it unfortunately my buddy missed on looking for the auto store he knew would have it). Last time I heard it was P3,500. He suggested that we pull out the pump and do a 'lab' test on it by supplying it externally with a 12V supply and a liter of gasoline on a big dipper (sa tabo in this case ).

To make the long story short, our little test work as we can visually see what is happening beneath the pump: there was a severe leak. We found not only one but two main culprits: the one is the rubber gasket on the pump nozzle that I knew all along gave me the major headache in the first place. The second is the small-but-fat O-ring on the other fuel line na nagiipon ng pondo before pumping it out to the engine (I don't know what to call it) which went loose upon inspection. Bad news is no exact nor suitable replacement was found (sa auto supply man o sa ref/aircon shop). Good News: Bright idea came from my buddy suggesting to help the ailing O-ring by putting a smaller-in-size but tighter ring beneath it to give it an extra tight fitting, which we did and lo and behold, 'one-click' na lang sya ulit :angel2:. And that did it - providing a four-month old problem with a P55.00 woth of gasket/rings, hard reasearch and bit of ingenuity. Notwithstanding giving me P3,500.00 worth of savings from buying a working (but expensive second-hand) fuel pump.:drive1:

I guess that's it for this thread. Immediate concerns for now: Major tune-up, work on the half-finished alarms, macgyvering the aircon air-filter (I found out the original was chopped off, exposing it to the elements), pimping the hand brake by putting an audible alarm (hard to see the lights being blocked by the steering wheel; a gentle, soft 'tweet' would suffice to remind me . I'd later pimp it further by replacing the video LCD and put additional screens on the headrest for the kids.

Those with additional thoughts, I'd luuuvvv to hear from you guys.
