Altis, Mazda 3, and soon to come Civic ang cream of the crop.

AS of now 7 years na sa amin, ang naging issue niya isa yung ABS sensor mga 3 times na ata napalitan, 2 times warranty, 1 time gastos P11k.
Nga pala, if you decide otherwise and wanna invest in real estate, i PM mo nalang ako, licensed broker ini at your service..haha shameless plug.Last edited by oliver1013; October 23rd, 2015 at 10:20 AM.

Why not settle on 2nd hand Lancer. Here are the advantages I can think of:
1. Lower purchase price.
2. Madalang mo lang naman gagamitin since most of the time naman nasa barko ka.
3. You basically are getting the same car kahit mas matandang modelo since basically ang onti lang naman ng changes sa current Lancer mula nung inilabas sya.
Cons:
1. Risk of getting a problematic car without warranty.
2. Higher maintenance cost.
3. Some restoration costs to get that brand new look.
Overall, I believe the pros overweight the cons since you still get your dream car while spending less.

October 23rd, 2015 11:32 AM #46Why not just rent a car kung andito ka? Cheaper than buying a car.

I'm just curious, pag 2500 na sweldo, gross or net salary na yun?
I have to agree that it does not make sense to buy a car when you are away for 10 out of 12 months.

October 23rd, 2015 11:50 AM #48Ang deductions lang yata ng seafarers are yung gov't mandated contributions, SSS, PhilHealth pag-ibig. Then yung salary nila is divided based sa kanilang allotments.

What allotments? Oh so it's just 2500 less sss, pagibig and philhealth. That's almost nothing. Ok pala seaman walang tax. So 2500 × 50 = 125k/mo.
I still would not buy a car.
