Mitsubishi dealerships offer advance preview of all-new Mirage | Inquirer Business

    Philippine Daily Inquirer
    10:39 pm | Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Starting Oct. 19, 2012, the all-new Mitsubishi Mirage will be displayed at selected dealerships nationwide after Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) announced the much-awaited arrival of the first batch of the sub-compact passenger car.

Customers who were not able to catch a glimpse of the all-new Mirage during its sneak preview at the 4th Philippine International Motor Show and during the road tour will now have all the opportunity to view and inspect the car.

The all-new Mirage is MMPC’s entry to the sub-compact passenger car segment. This global eco-car features an excellent fuel economy; environment friendly, very low carbon emission; and optimized equipment for exceptional value.

Most of all, this eco-car is fun and easy to drive. The Mirage will be available in GLX and GLS variants, with both 5-speed manual and continuously variable transmissions to choose from.

Accordingly, the Mirage GLS will come in eight exciting colors, such as Lemonade Yellow Metallic, Pop Green Mica, Medium Blue Mica, Majestic Red, Savannah White, Cool Silver Metalllic, Eisen Grey Mica and Pyrenese Black.

With its stylish and exceptional features, the all-new Mirage is expected to stand out on the roads.

But the best news about the arrival of the all-new Mirage is that the pre-order exclusive offer will still be available at all Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide.

The Mirage pre-order exclusive offers a P40,000 pre-order incentive for those will place their reservation until October 31.

The pre-order exclusive is in the form of a P25,000 outright markdown from the suggested retail price and P15,000 to be used for Mirage genuine accessories.

The Mirage’s suggested retail prices, which ranges from P498,000 for the base GLX MT model to P638,000 for the top-of-the-line GLS CVT, are affordable as they truly are.

With the pre-order exclusive promo, buying a Mirage becomes more irresistible.

Customers who wish to avail of this Mirage pre-order exclusive can just make a P10,000 refundable deposit, which entitles him to a pre-order coupon required to register at the newmirage.ph website.

Those registering for the Mirage pre-order exclusive and at the same time purchase the car until December 31 can get the chance to win one Mirage GLX Manual Transmission during a raffle on Jan. 13, 2013.

For more details on the Mirage display and promo, contact your nearest Mitsubishi dealership.

What are the factors that will influence Mitsubishi to revise Mirage selling price in the Philippines next year (2013)?

    Mirage price will go up:
    1. Selling like hotcakes (as what is happening in Japan and Thailand now)
    2. Fuel Economy as advertised is indeed true
    3. Current price is just introductory to break in to the sub-compact market in Ph
    .
    .

    Mirage price will go down:
    1. FC is a disappointment
    2. Poor market response
    3.
    .
    .

    No price change:
    1. Montero didn't change its price despite of its success in Ph market
    2. Price will not change at least for this 2013 Mirage model
    3.
    .

buying a novel car model like mirage is a gamble, being fresh, no one really know its actual performance or fuel consumption. if you are not in a rush then the bank manager you trust is just right in being cautious about this car. but then again the manager could be biased for a particular brand or stale car models around

so it wont hurt if you do a little research on your own. for this car category, you can compare it with chevrolet sparks, kia picanto, suzuki celerio, hyundai i10 or hyundai eon.

recently, suzuki raised the price (30thou) of the celerio probably due to a favorable fuel consumption review. if this particular brand do live up to its billing then expect the price to surge

im putting my money on this car coz of various reasons: novelty, price, promo, engine (displacement & technology)

should it fail to live up in providing good fuel economy, ill console my self with the fact that its metal structure is solid & heavy to keep me safe from an accident
