Can anyone check if there is reverse sensors for the GLS? The Eco/Econo button is probably from the Honda Civic/CR-V and not the Mirage. Mirage is already an economy car so no point in adding an Eco button.

August 19th, 2012 11:22 PM #203Hello! We too, already made a reservation for a GLX M/T last Friday. As an everyday car, we chose to, hopefully, buy this car kasi sulit na price neto sa mkkha mong kotse + features of it (esp the dimensions of the car, puedeng puede pang car pool.hehe). i just hope na totoo talaga na may ABS+EBD yung GLX M/T variants para sulit na sulit na tlga cya.
We really just hope di magkaron ng problema pag nasa buying stage na talaga....wag sana tayo tagain nang Mitsu like what Toyota did when they released the Fortuner for the very 1st time a few years back...hahaha! =)
Just a question lang po, my understanding is the 40k early bird discount is the promo of the Mistu plant itself, not of the dealers, so does it mean we still have a chance to have a much lower price if ever magbibigay pa nang addtional discount ang mga Mitsu dealers?
Lastly, yung 15k na discount for the accessories, is it on top of the normal accessories given by the dealers (seat cover, tint and floor mats)?
Thank you!

From my MIAS visit last Thursday...
The local Mirage will not have ABS/EBD nor start/stop technology to make pricing attractive, with the hi-end GLS CVT priced at 638K. The display unit was already a left hand drive model. 8 colors will be available by Nov 2012. With its features and base GLX 5MT unit priced at 498K, this will pose a new threat to other car models in the same price range. But I wish they would release the Mirage 1.0 GLX 5MT with start stop to push the fuel efficiency up to 30 kms per liter.
Was able to test drive the MiEV as there were no Mirage unit available. The MiEV was super fun to drive. Super silent and can hit 80kph in 8 secs. Almost got caught on a 60kph speed limit at Macapagal :-) I think Mitsubishi will be the new leader on eco-cars!

It would be strange for the Mirage not to have ABS considering it has dual airbags. Car companies usually remove the airbags first then ABS if they wanted to lower the price. Back read a page or two, the MMPC brochure they gave out indicates there will be ABS+EBD for GLS models.

Funny thing I saw a while ago at the 4th PIMS. The Mirage uses Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's. Yep. The same tires that cars triple its price (e.g. Genesis Coupe) use.
