Cleaning and recharging is every 70,000 kilometers under regular city driving. Kung may halong offroad, around 60,000 kilometers siguro. So it's economical for maintenance and for fuel consumption (less restrictive compared to the stock paper filter with same mileage).

Actually, pwedeng isang tipid sachet of any liquid dishwashing soap ang gamitin sa cleaning. Ibabad lang (totally submerged) for 1 hour, rinse with slow running water tapos air dry away from sunlight. Pero yung recharger kailangan yung K&N talaga. Di pwede penetrating oil as substitute.

    sir Doy,

Seems you are using KNN filter for a quiet sometime , may I ask kung pinatong mo yung filter direct sa housing without seating sa filter pad like the OEM na filter then fastened pa sa filter pad . Parang yung pad is acting like a secondary filter din kasi when I cut the pad puno rin soot deposit.

    Thanks-RTS

Yes.

Yes, sir. Pinatong ko lang yung K&N filter in the same manner as the OEM filter, with the "front" mark facing top and front as per instruction manual. Aftermarket wet-type filters, like K&N, use the charging oil to trap and hold the dust and other pollutants. That's why it can do its function even if it's thinner than the OEM. The thin design is also the reason why more clean air can pass through making it efficient.

At least sa inyo after 11k bumalik... sa akin kasi in less than 2 hours after the 1k bumalik agad.
