February 20th, 2011 12:04 AM #963Congrats on your new ride sir and yup sulit na sulit na yung nakuha mo sa friend mo na 17" mags.
As per my experience, yes meron konti vibration, pero timpla mo lang mabuti yung gas and clutch. Or baka malamig pa makina? Same po tayo GLX 2010.
Lets wait for the other gurus reply. Baka mali rin ako. Sana wag naman.

February 20th, 2011 12:54 AM #964Personal opinion lang po. Kung kayo po ng budget niyo then go for the new 4x4 matic VGT. Better power, torque, 5 speed sportronic(convenience of matic and manual), 4x4, power rear windows, new multi info display with dvd/vcd gps etc., 17" mags, plus all the additional accessories of a GLS.
Kung di naman, sa akin lang po if you're not too particular about it being matic then go for the older glx. My point being, much cheaper, my current glx 2010 has enough torque and power (ave travel time bagui-manila or vice versa 3 1/2 hours lang), not to mention 5 speed na po siya compared to 4 speed matic na VGT, you also save more on diesel and cheaper to maintain in the long run. Happy na ako.
Do please correct me if I'm wrong mga guru's and please do note opinion lang po ha.
+1 din po sa comment ni S'Jim about ABS/EBD being nice to have but can live without.
I guess depends din on how you'll be driving the car, kung mahilig ka matulin kahit umuulan and usually carry heavy loads at the back and relatively inexperienced driver pa gagamit then ABS/EBD would be very helpful to have pero kung sanay na gagamit then in my opinion ok lang wala.
Regardless kung ano po mapili niyo, you made a good decision in putting the strada on top of your list. Good Luck po Sir!

About being matulin sa road, sa NLEX lang ako nag 100 to 120km/hr and I would not be carrying heavy loads most of the time if ever. I guess kung may ABS EBD na ang 4x2 matic, then I would be very happy with it, sa price and features. Muntik na nga akong mag 4x2 a/t na dmax but I was disappointed to learn na very outdated na (though still useful and strong) ang engine nito.
I pray to God na sana I have chosen the right vehicle, kasi this would be a lifetime investment and constant companion of mine.

February 20th, 2011 11:31 PM #968Don't worry Sir. If that's the case then for me po value for money talaga ang strada. Also matic lang talaga choice niyo po. It's true na medyo outdated na po ang DMax and a little more expensive. Either way both good choices po. You really can't go wrong with either. Good Luck Po Sir with your choice.

February 21st, 2011 12:26 PM #969Hi! newbie here! Got my new Strada GLX gemstone gray, nasa break-in period pa rin, nakakatuwa kasi hindi ako binibitin once I accelerate. Dinala ko sa tagaytay as part of may break-in period, less 80kph lang speed ko may few times na nasa 95kph to try, then few second back 80kph.
Iniiwanan ako ng mga kasabayan ko, My engine almost telling me hey! I have more power to do!, Patient muna ciguro after 1000kms tsaka na paabutin ng 120++kph.
Mga guru's, okey lang po ba yong break-in ko or a little level up.
BTW,

sir, congrats on your new strada... just one thing though...bigatan nyo na apak sa silinyador...and sundin nyo yung sinabi ng strada nyo na "hey I got a lot more power" kasi mas better talaga mabirit nyo sya on its forst 1k kms...para batak talaga and hinde malata kapag medyo may edad na sya.... just drive it at varying speeds....wag kang magtatagal ng more than 10 seconds sa isang speed....parang ganto 10sec 110kph 10sec 120 10 sec 130 10 sec 140 and so on....when decelerating naman as much as possible let the engine to the braking....apply minimal breaking lang when the opportunity comes para mag engine break... also kapag maluwag lang ang kalsada saka nyo gawin para your always on the safeside....nakaka tulong din kasi to when breaking in the engine...HTH..
drive safely!
and I hope you can join the strada club soon! ^__^Last edited by locoroco777; February 21st, 2011 at 01:48 PM.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
