The threadstarter's pics shows a unit fresh off the boat (if not the shipping yard), as evidenced by the white protective cover sticker on the hood and roof. Notice, the conduction sticker? This is in the Philippines!

Most likely this is being imported by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines. Look at the inside of the front windshield, they taped lots of shipping papers onto it. Smugglers dont need any of that so definitely this is official.

I took the pics earlier this evening of Feb 06 2007 coming from E Rodriguez. I already noticed HIDs on my rear view mirror and it was zooming quite fast when I was already in Ortigas Avenue.

I was supposed to turn na into EDSA going to Makati but I decided to follow it up to C5 Ortigas... I think it was on its way to Cainta ;)

looks like we are getting the euro version outlander with the mt fuji grille instead of the usdm version which has a simpler 2-bar grille. don't take reviews of u.s. car mags as gospel truth since the cars they review are different from what we get here. in the case of the santa fe, the topline usdm version reviewed by most u.s. mags features a 3.3l 242hp V6, 5-speed auto trans, front and side (curtain) air bags, auto 4x4 with lock option, electronic stability control, 18" wheels, dual zone electronic air conditioning, ABS and EBD, 6 CD stereo and cd player and a 10-year warranty. the best selling santa fe variant in the phils has a 2.2l crdi turbodiesel, 2WD, driver's side airbag only, no stability control, manual aircon controls, 17" wheels, single CD player stereo and cd player and a 3-yr warranty.
