I went to the quezon ave showroom last saturday and saw the outlander 2.4. There are a few slight differences:

    1. no audio in sockets (this one everyone knows by now)
    2. no side airbags daw (same thing here)
    3. different front grill - it is a honeycomb type now
    4. there is a new "tapal" (sorry I forgot the correct term for it) all around the vehicle covering the front fenders, doors and rear fenders. it is made of plastic, matte black in color. basically, it is to protect the lower half of the body from scratches. The agent said they were surprised that this was the first model that came out with that.

For me, it actually looks better now. It looks more rugged.

was there last thrusday sir. saw the pearl white 2.4. Wala pang "tapal". I think that tapal is more of added accessories na lang and will not be standard to all units.

Does anyone know where they offer a test drive for the 2.4l? My brother and I are on the fence between this and the CRV2.4 but we can't find anywhere we can test drive the Outlander, kind of hard to make a major decision without even trying it out to see what it's like, right?

sorry mate. those pics are ugly. those are "murdered" versions. and the actual unit doesn't look like that. regards to the honeycomb grill, i'm not so hot about it. but the tapal looks better for me. if you saw the one in the showroom, up close and personal, you would know what i mean.

The tapal is yung black sa fenders? It looks like an Innova with Shark body kit. Ewww... What a disgrace for Mitsubishi to do this.
