April 9th, 2009 08:54 AM #2152It's been a while since I last logged here... Anyways, had my 15,000 pms last Tuesday and coincidentally 1 year na din sakin ang outie ko (GLX), I remember the advisor saying I-check din daw nila brakes and wheel alignment since 1 year na nga sya. The bill included brake pad cleaning for around 500 petot... I hope they are that proactive (if indeed that was what the advisor meant when he said they'll check on the brakes) to check our units with regards to this recall thing...

For locating the VIN, try this since this applies to the Lancer EX- same platform - There is a carpet cut underneath the front passenger seat. it is on a Bar and the VIN is etched in there...
i could be wrong. Otherwise, please consult your owner's manual.
To the Outie Owner- in case you happen to be the "lucky one" please be alert in case the dealer will contact you. Better yet, please inform MMPC's Mr. Marlon Lim ASAP and kulit him for the replacement part!

Checked my VIN number, underneath the hood near windshield. My last 4 number is different from the # of posted recall unit.
True kaya yun na isa lang ang affected?

the styling may take a little getting used to... but otherwise, it should be ok.
