AFAIK, Units for Aussie and NZ units have always been different especially with their specifications. i will try to explain this further when i will meet up with you guys.

What I am expecting is for MMPC to issue an official press release to notify the public if we are affected or not. That way, we will feel assured of our units. The letter that has been posted (IMO) is informal and unacceptable since it is only address to an individual. Cover-ups is an absolute no-no!

I got this link from Australia about the faulty brake booster valve. It listed some VINs (Vehicle ID Numbers) you may want to check it out. Just don't know if the VINs are for Australian lancers and outlanders only.

Is there a v6 model in Australia because based on the VINs (CW5W) most of the affected Outies there are 2.4l models? The v6 models have CW6W on their VINs

Yes. We do have the V6 variant here and AFAIK the Outies that come here are CKDs from Japan. And yes my Outie is included in the recall. Still waiting for their letter though. :cry2:
