hey guys question regarding tire pressure.
the information on the door tells us that the tire pressure is 32 at cold.
now my question is... in the morning before i leave the garage... my tire pressure will be at 29.x ...... so theres a 3PSI difference between the recommended and actual tire pressure. but the nearest gas station that has a digital air pump is about 7KMs from our house. so by the time that i reaches the gas station my tire pressure would be up to at least 31.x ... so theres already a 2PSI change in the tire pressure. now my concern is .. when i reach the gas station at 31.x PSI, should i inflate it and add 3PSI more? making it at least 34PSI instead of 32PSI? or should i inflate it up to 32PSI only?
am kind confused.
also at what PSI will the tire reach "exploding point" hehe. i mean, i don't wanna go up to 35 PSI because am paranoid that my tire will all of a sudden burst! but i love the ride when it is at least 32PSI.

January 6th, 2009 06:04 PM #1992Happy New Year to all!
I hope to see and meet you guys on the 25th.
I want to hear from you guys if you find your automatic transmission shifting too fast at a low rpm. I mean, sometimes I could feel it that I am already in 4th or sometimes even 5th gear at 40 to 50kp/h. To confirm it, I would hit the left paddle shifter to engage manual mode and would find that it goes up to 3rd or 4th gear. I find this quite unusual and I don't think it's good for the engine.

if you dont want to automatically shift up, just press the gas pedal harder. mas malakas nga lang sa gas.
If you have the CVT version, i think there are no gears. The "virtual" gears are only made when in manual mode.

January 6th, 2009 10:42 PM #1994i noticed the same thing w/ mine...i was running at about 70-80kph and thought of using the paddle shifters for the first time, and noticed that the RPM jumped to 3rd and 4th. then, i used the right paddle shifter to reduce RPM and speed. i guess (and hope) it's normal since both of us experienced this

If you hit the left paddle, it'll downshift and you'll see your revs go up...if you try to downshift at high rpm, it'll downshift and then you'll hit the rev limiter.
I wouldnt worry too much about it though, the 4Bxx engines are built to withstand high revs, also the rev limiter is there to make sure you dont damage the engine...
I've played around with the shifters a lot, if you think upshifts are fun...the downshifts are much more satisfying...

i used the paddle shifters only once pa lang out on the open highway, and that was when i needed to overtake, so downshift, high rev, and off the outie went like a rocket!
