guys question/s:
1. i had my first 1K PMS. The engine oil was changed with a Fully Synthetic Oil (Turbo XP). How long will this oil last? 5K or 10K?
2. the service agent told me to return on for my 5K service. i'm confused, my odo reading during the PMS was 1.8K, should i bring it back once it hit the 5K on my odo reading or should i bring it back after 5K .. so when i hit 6.8K reading on my odo?
3. change oil na ba on 5K or wait for 10K since synthetic oils are supposed to be replaced every 10k?
4. i felt that mejo matigas na yung steering ko .. and also, i had to press on the gas heavier this time after the 1K PMS, is it normal? or naninibago lang ako?
5. the MIDisplay of my outie still reads that service due for 2,500KM. should this have been reset by the casa during the first 1K mark?
Thanks!Last edited by edok; November 10th, 2008 at 06:02 PM. Reason: pahabol na question

November 10th, 2008 08:42 PM #1837since your last odo reading when you have your pms is 1.8k, you can have the option of either have your next pms at 5k or 5.8. you can request that they dont change your motor oil but only change your oil filter. they may used only one liter of synthetic oil to replace the oil lost during the changing of oil filter (this was an advised of service advisor when i had my pms at diamond motors, quezon ave). but of course, better rin change ka na rin ng oil but since synthetic ang oil used during your last pms, this can still be good for another 5k km.
you can have your mid reset by casa or follow the instructions found in the manual. hope this will help you.

hi guys.
have anyone of you tried the "sports mode" of our outie? i've been itching to try it ... but i wanna hear first hand info on how to use it - rather than rely on the user manual ... hehehe..
thanks a lot!

November 11th, 2008 07:20 PM #1840* edok,
everytime i go on vacation in the phil., i'm using the sports mode during city driving. lots of fun to use.. its like making things harder when the equipment is designed to make things easier (but that was me). what is life when we will not explore our full potential (or our equipment), di ba?
on my experience, the sports mode function like this;
1. using the knob
- if you are crusing in drive mode (D) say at 50km/hr, once you put the knob in the sports mode position (between the + and - sign), the transmission will be in its current combination based on the current speed. so, its up to you if you where you want to put your next gear (up or down).
2. using the paddle shifter
- if you are crusing in drive mode (D) say at 50km/hr, once you click (towards you) either the (+) or (-) paddle shifter, your transmission will simply oblige what your finger are telling it to do so..
NOTE:
1. the beauty of sports mode: the transmission will automatically change gear (towards low) once the car significantly reduced speed. its like the computer has predetermined speed-transmission gear combination.
2. WARNING: in sports mode, during accelaration watch out for your rpm, you might overlook shifting the knob or paddle shifter "gear up." of course it will not shift automatically to next higher gear.
the basic rule of MANUAL driving still govern..
guys, did i say it right? or am i wrecking my outie slowly..
alas! for obvious reasons, they are sometimes the last available slots...
