July 25th, 2008 07:25 AM #1542Hi again guys, thanks for the helpful replies. It seems that aside fom the tint scratching, the outlander is a worry-free vehicle to own, which is what i'm looking for. I've scheduled a test drive for next wk.
Another question if you don't mind: How's the cargo space at the back? I go scuba diving and sometimes i leave my dry stuff in my pajero and the baby's stroller can still fit in. That's the only remaining concern for me, as i have learned here in the forum where to get seat covers for the BEIGE colored seats. Thanks again.

July 25th, 2008 09:09 AM #1544- Thank you for the replies... I would've wanted a 3.0 sana eh kaya lang off the budget na.
- I got my Outie end of April, scratches are also evident now especially on the driver's side window.

*kamote2000 - musta na po... i was also advised about the price increase especially for CBUs from Japan and the L300 line! if you plan to get this month, please do. but nonetheless, the outlander 2.4 GLS 4x4 is still more affordable compared to the CR-V 2.4 4x4. EB tayo soon po.
*Uncle Bob- whether you got the 2.4 or the 3.0, i believe the outie is still fun to drive!
that is the Concept-cX. This SUV has recently been given the green light to be produced. this will replace the Pajero iO/Pajero Pinin. This concept model will be powered by a new 1.8 Clean Diesel D-iD. with this in mind Mitsubishi is following a Hyundai trait as this will follow the Tucson, the Outlander/Montero Sport with the Santa Fe and the Vera Cruz with the Endeavor- or better yet, the Pajero! Mitsubishi's SUV family is a growing quite fast i must say!
Winterpine is a local provider for the TPMS and Alarm Systems to name a few- dito suki ang The Strada Club of the Philippines. The alarm system is locally sourced and installed at the trucks prior to delivery. IMO, The alarm system for the Lancer EX, New Pajero and the Outlander are OEM from MMC Japan. my friend na SA tried to make the adjustments from what he knew from winterpine units and it is totally different!
*meldy12- my eyes went bright-eyed with your FC!musta naman po yung tapak sa accelerator? do you go beyond 3000rpm since you are on highway driving po?
*Uncle Bob and Louien- may i know what are your driving conditions to get that FC figure?

July 25th, 2008 01:42 PM #1547My 6.3 km/l is based on city driving as well. It did not really matter much whether I speed and accelerate quickly or ung maalaga na driving. My best hi-way FC so far is 9.6 km/l pero I was doing max of 160 kph, then mostly 110kph to 120kph along SCTEx.

thanks for the info on the alarm system sir ian!
regarding fc. halos pareho lang kami ni uncle bob. mas maganda pa nga ang nagiging fc ko if i weave through the traffic. oopps, swerving ba? di naman, changing lanes lang, quite too often.hehehe. next weekend, try ko highway drive to pampanga. going to bulacan though i usually get 10km/l, pero hinahataw na rin yan from time to time.

it is a mixed type of acceleration since SLEX is quite slow moving now a days dahil sa rehabilitation but when i'm at the STAR tollway, i drive fast. i always tell myself not to go over 2000rpm but the temptation to rev beyond 2000 is quite hard to resist.

July 25th, 2008 10:45 PM #1550good day sirs, Finally got my adobe grey Outlander 2.4GLS today!!!! very happy with the ride. but i still have to browse through the manual. hope i can give it a good break in...Drive it like you stole it? also can you shift to 4X4 while moving? sana yung FC nya after break in is around 6-7. baguio roads kasi up and down so dapat talaga apak ka sa gas. sino pala ang may seat covers na fabric lang yung nabibili sa mga shops? san kaya meron? i was thinking pa leather ko sa equipt kaso the Mrs. doesnt like leather maiinit daw kasi sa pwet. hehe.
alas! for obvious reasons, they are sometimes the last available slots...
