Oops... Sorry Ceepawn. Great looking skirts and grill sir.

Thanks for the tip batangmahal... I will try Union Motors but I will also try dito sa C5 and the one on Marcos Hi-way if they can do the warranty work for me, mas malapit sa akin eh.

    Who or what is winterpine?

I also find it strange that when I unlock and lock my Outie, wala syang alarm sound like my altis na may "chirp - chirp". Wala din syang buzzing / warning sound when I leave the key sa ignition. Ganun ba talaga?

I read kasi before sa forum ng santa fe that they just needed to program the car's computer to activate the speed controlled auto lock feature.

Winterpine (Marketing Corp.) po ang nagkakabit ng alarm for Mitsu, and does other stuffs too like tint and rear sensors. Their address is 11-A Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.

Naka-mute po ang alarm ng Outie natin. But I heard it could be reprogrammed nga by the people at Winterpine. Perhaps that also goes true with the speed controlled auto lock feature. One of these days, pag nalibre, puntahan ko sila. Nagahol lang kasi ako sa oras nung nagpunta ako sa shop ni Boy C kaya di na ako nakadaan sa Winterpine, although magkalapit lang sila.

hi guys. i might buy a 4x2 outlander soon,i like the look and it being a cbu from japan has been a big factor in my choosing it. i was wondering if you could help me out with a couple of questions: 1. does the weatherstrip problem occur in all the units? 2. where can i buy accessories like mudguards, stepboards, etc.? 3. is the ride comfort of the 4x2 same as the 4x4 variant? thanks in advance, hope you could help me out.

Haven't used ethanol just yet, but did ask awhile back about this, I think sir redshift has been using this stuff for a while now.

Maybe if, like mentioned, it was stated in our manuals that it is safe to use e10, then it shouldn't be a cause for concern, but it makes you wonder sometimes after reading something like this...

Two things that caught my attention
    1. Decrease in fuel mileage - the main reason I'm considering use of e10 is because it's generally cheaper by around 2 petot, but if my mileage (at an average of 7 km/l now) will drop, there is no point in shifting from regular unleaded to this, right?
    2. What's the octane level of Shell's or Petron's e10?

The pumps indicate that Petron's E10 has an octane rating of 95.

    I get 6.3 km/ liter, louien gets 7 km/l on our 2.4liter mivec.

I would like to hear from owners of 3.0 liter Outies. . . How or what is your fuel consumption?

    Just curious. . .

    1. that's my concern too. at a 60-liter capacity, that's a savings of about P120. But if the mileage drops, then the savings goes pfft.
    2. Petron's e10 is reputedly 95 RON, while Shell's is 93.
    3. after reading the said articles, my doubts about using e10 was further heightened. it may be safe according to the manual, pero baka caveat emptor nga naman.

    1. i suspect the problem occurs in all the units. but fear no more, there is already a solution to it.
    2. accessories are hard to come by, but just contact sir ceepawn and he may be able to help you.
    3. ride comfort should be the same considering the same suspension specs for both variants. right?

    1. is the weatherstrip related to the scratched tint? so far I havent really seen it on my unit (2008 2wd)
    2. yes, accessories are hard to find and the ones available are quite expensive. I had to order mudguards from the US...
    3. 2wd and 4wd ride quality should be almost the same, even considering the 4wd's added weight.
