Yes, it is 4WD, but not full time. You have to rotate a dial to activate/deactivate. It's got a Rockford Fosgate sub, paddle shifters, but no leather seats.

Yes, I found it out myself today when I happened to be in MOA. I didn't realize that the Outlander is that compact. I even wonder how Mitsubishi managed to add 3rd row seats in the US version because boot space seems too narrow and short.

Anyways, I think the overall package is very nice for 1.66M. Definitely a much better buy than the 4x4 RAV4 and turbo Forester. But I doubt that the Outlander will be able to outsell the upcoming CRV though.

When it first came out in Japan, Mitsu had 5,000 units ordered in just 14 days. It was the best-selling compact SUV from Nov. '05 to Feb.'06, outselling all the new compact SUV's in it's class.
And over here, Mitsu is also enjoying brisk sales of the Outlander bec. of it's perfect blend of features, performance and price.

Just been to moa awhile ago, personally saw the outlander, very nice. The SA said it will only be available in three colors for now. Black, blue and white. 2 variants GLS(Php1,488,000) and GLS Sport(Php1,688,000). Both will have 3.0 V6. Taking reservations na.
