same pa rin daw po ang tires and mags... may roof rails pa rin... pero the driver seat ay di na rin daw power adjustable... MIVEC engine pa rin... no confirmation though whether the paddle shifters are there along with the audio controls on the steering wheel.
even with all these missing specs, it seems that the Outie 2WD is still a good buy, considering that city driving din lang or highway driving lang naman pag out of town.

mga bros, i noticed that my right rear tire always falls to 28psi kahit lagyan ko sya ng 33. few hours lang, bumababa na.
watcha think?

to equipt customers,
have you tried using a car seat for babies after applying the seat covers from equipt?
pwede pa din ba?
accessible pa rin ba yung mga anchors at the back of the back seats?

March 15th, 2008 01:44 AM #1036Guys,
I want to thank everyone who posted here because it helped me make the decision against buying a CRV. I got my outlander 2.4 GLS 1 week ago and very happy with it!
However, i am NOT happy with the ALARM system. Can anybody help? Here are my beefs:
1) if you forget to LOCK (ACTIVATE the alarm), it wont activate by itself. The self activation feature is something that all other alarms have and is very useful esp for a forgetful person like me
2) the doors WON'T UNLOCK by itself when you park the car so that i still have to press the UNLOCK button by the driver side, otherwise all my passengers have to sit and wait for me. this is very inconvenient
3) the doors WON'T LOCK by itself when I start the car, which means, if i dont press the button, i am driving with the car doors unlocked (even the tailgate)
I've asked CITIMOTORS to help out, and i was surprised that they WERE ALSO CLUELESS...they said they have to ask the FACTORY about it... i don't know why they are untrained in how to fix the alarm since its THEIR PRODUCT!!
Alarm aside, i'm very happy with the performance so far. I'm getting FC of about 7 km / liter in heavy traffic.
Thanks so much

congrats jceric!
Hindi pa speed sensing ang door locks ng outlander. i guess hindi pa sya ganun ka-standard in japanese cars. even the new civic doesnt have it yet. only the new CRV. however, our old vios has it. hehe
im only getting FC of around 5-6 in daily driving. ano ba technique para maka 7?

March 15th, 2008 09:38 AM #1038hallo,
actually, im still finding out the ins and outs of this car... what puzzles me is the AVERAGE km/liter computation, coz last night, i got 6.9 before i parked the car and slept ...then this morning, i started the car, and it started at 3.8?? then, as i drove along edsa, it reached up to 11 km / liter as there wasnt much traffic...
so, i cant really say whether my current 7 km/liter is correct or not
as for the alarm... it says in the manual that i should contact the authorized mitsu dealer to change the settings....but the dealer themselves dont know how to do it....
another beef i have about the alarm is that it doesnt make a sound when you turn it on or off... just blinking lights... well, its not very helpful diba? the sound is your reassurance dat the alarm is turned on esp. when you park in a parking lot and ur in a hurry..
best regards to everyone

Hello Jceric,
The best way to solve your problem is to look for another dealer that is near to your place. Some Mitsubishi dealers or some CASA's from other brand doesn't have any idea how to configure the alarm. It should be okay once you configured it already, but be aware that Mitsubishi's alarm system is very "scandaloso", you might want to turn it off or set it on to the lowest sensitivity.
Your Outie's are probably under break-in period, it should improve. Some owners say that the FC Meter is close to accurate with a .1-.2 inaccuracy. If I can still remember correctly, you can get 9 km/l on the 2.4L. Try not going above 2K rpm and practice your braking.
*Monggadi,
If 28 psi is normal then you don't have to worry. Nag flufluctuate talaga yan, not unless if you change to Nitrogen where it should be close to constant.iam3739.com
