July 18th, 2008 07:59 AM #1Hello, my friend's 1996 Pajero, local, 4x4, GGGAAAASSSS, is being offered to me at 300T... maganda pa ang unit, around 80T lang ang mileage (orig)....
My Qs are...
1. MATAKAW ba talaga ito? How many km/li?
2. Are the parts still available?
3. Your opinion pls...

July 18th, 2008 01:56 PM #3alam ko rin walang local na unit na pajero during those times. lumabas lang yung gas version lately (3.8L V6). most likely imported yan unless nagpachange engine. in any case, baka hindi masagot mga tanong mo kasi hindi sure kung ano makina nya.

I own a local '96 Diesel Pajero. I get around 7km/liter. As far as the parts are concerned, mahal pag original pero nakaka kuha ako ng replacement and surplus.
But since the unit you are looking at is GAS, most likely this is not released locally. I have a friend who owned a '96 or '95 Pajero that they got from the US. It has a GAS V6 engine. She complained that this is a gas-guzzler and she disposed of this last year. She hardly used her Pajero because of this. I think she was getting less than 5 km/liter.
I hope this helps.

Nope... There are Gen. 1 & Gen. 2 has the 2.6L in-line 4 engines, Gen 1 Pajero has the 2.0L in-line 4 engine.
If the unit came from U.S., then it will most likely be a 3.0L V6 engine.iam3739.com
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
