Side note...

If you haven't noticed it, the younger generation (our children, nephews, nieces, kids of our friends, etc) have the weirdest of diseases that are either rare or unheard off a full generation ago. Most of these diseases can be linked to the polluted environment we live in.

And the usual remedy of outdoor exercise is no better since the air in the streets is poison. So we have to go either indoors for exercise (a membership gym or a threadmill or similar at home) or leave the city totally for a few hours of cleaner air (parks outside metro manila).

A future with some people wearing personal oxygen masks is not too far off if air quality in the metro continues on it's trend.

And people please STOP comparing us to our neighboring country, cuz we will never be like them.

that's the... uhhmmm... spirit. don't compare coz we'll never be equal or better than the rest of asia.
