Our properties don't even cost a lot of money. It's the cousins of my dad that have it made (brother of my direct Lolo married my Lola whose family has money) It's sad nga dr kasi after we sell we don't have land anymore No more place to go on vacation and no more produce pag ani. I wish pwede sila magtira or if only I had money to buy them out. May matitira pala but it's not developed saka may NPA ata.

    matriarcha in the making!
    madame rochas!

if you wish, you can arrange it such that your share of the manah is a bit of real estate from the estate.
that way, you won't have to make pa-ikot-ikot documentation.

para madaling i-suot nang tama, in case may dumating na "authority".

    face shields are uncomfortable.

i walk around with welding shield-type face shield.
madali itaas, half-taas, and full down, ang acrylic shield..

how can I be matriarch e I have no children Sana if I had little crushes and little cathys LOL! I will just buy properties from the proceeds of the estate. I thought of having it partitioned nga but my family/cousins will have a hard time selling kasi as it is now, the heirs of lolo's brothers don't want to sell their portion, they are 5 excluding the children from the other wives of my greatgrandfather (mi abuelo estaba mujeriego lol) some buyers want a bigger cut but can't force them since partitioned na their land

BTT: I am glad my family (Mom's side) are all supportive of me leaving my job since they do NOT want me to transfer to India. My Aunt emailed me just now and again offered financial help if I need it. Natatawa talaga ako lahat ng tao (including my boss) worried na worried na wala akong salary so everyone assumes I have 0 savings talaga lol

I guess because mabilis sya mag fog dahil sa hininga. Kaya I bought face shield with anti fog. Or maybe people could use those anti fog spray na gamit ng mga swimmer sa goggles nila.

    bad-mouthing a colleague is an unwritten no-no.
In your profession yes it is frowned upon. But for non-doctors, we are not bound by such etiquette. It's a matter of opinion after all and no name was mentioned.

Such long-standing tradition afaik stems from the Hippocratic oath. Ergo those that did not took it may not be required to abide. It's one of thw problems why it's difficult to prosecute medical malpractice because doctors do not want to testify against colleagues in general.

Hippocratic oath has nothing to do with telling the truth.
being truthful is plain common sense.

    in my opinion,
in the medical practice, giving testimony can be difficult, thus:
"i wasn't there. i did not see what the other doctor saw at that time."
"the correct diagnosis is not arrived at by a popularity vote." a diagnosis or judgement that is arrived at by a popularity vote, is just that: a popularity vote.
there are many examples in medical literature, wherein the popular vote went on to be proven wrong.

    also,
"the judge may have no idea of what the doctors are talking about. and in truth, neither do some lawyers."

i had occasion to be in one hearing.
i got the impression there, that only the doctors knew what they were saying.
but... i could be wrong there.

Yes the Hippocratic oath does not say not to tell the truth nor literally made mention of not testifying against a colleague. But what I am saying is that they are told to exercise extra caution when talking about a colleagues' action or inaction for that matter.

Same with what whistler said that you can see and feel the frustration, sometimes even acknowledging pretty obvious errors but does say they won't openly admit it, not unless under the weight of perjury in an open case.

It is true that a patient's history is very important that is why making decisions when you are not privy to such info renders any judgment inconclusive. However, the point here is that commenting on even some of the obvious errors are again frowned upon.

Iirc it made mention of the obligation to keep the ''holy things'' of medicine within the medical community which means not only keeping secrets, as in patient-doctor privilege, but also as a restraint from commenting negatively. It's like instead of saying this is wrong, this may be a better method or course of action. It was mentioned as well that there is a phrase about "preserving the finest tradition of my calling" iirc, which the reporter in class also alluded to as always striving to keep the integrity of the medical profession to the highest standards.

It was discussed to us in a subject called Medical Jurisprudence. But as noone is a doctor in that class, maybe the perspective of the other side is not represented properly.

    Learnings for today. Ty doc

Why are women so particular about someone else wearing the same exact clothes as them?

My wife bought a set of clothes and was happy with it. Unknown to her, our daughter bought the same set of clothes. When they got dressed up to go shopping, they wore the same clothes. When they saw each other, they didn't like the clothes anymore. ???

    ... while we guys,
when we see each other at an event, wearing the same black pants and jusi barong,
    "ok lang".

we might even inquire, "ok yang barong mo, ah. where did you have it made?"

I probably wouldn't even notice. I'm used to wearing uniforms. So, no big deal. Now, if it's something like cars such as the time in California when I encountered 3 other beige 1995 Ford Contours at a 4-way stop, we honked/flashed headlights at each other. I thought that was funny.
