These apps are using web scrapers. It collects from different airlines sites, or other flight apps too.
Then it categorizes, stacks and presents data organizely.

And if it is free, where do these flight apps get their revenue? You will notice ads in the corner or perhaps pop ups.

There may be other explanation but this is how I know it.

Sabagay. Am just wondering if the PAL/CebuPac apps can be extended somehow, e.g.

- when you buy a ticket, it creates automatic alerts/reminders
- you input flight details, then it alerts you when it's boarding or landed na;
- sends out alerts when your plane gets parked at a new terminal at the last minute
- link your checked in baggage, alerts you when they're on tha carousel

AFAIK, PAL doesn't have an app. Let's review your thoughts.


1-already existing. It sends an email/text alerts, including web check-in, days/hours before the flight.

2- already existing with International Airline apps like Airasia, Delta etc.

3- quite complicated as it needs coordination with several airport personnel. Though current airline apps do mention the usual stats.

4. Already existing with Delta apps. But it is also possible for certain luggage with locator and track with their app.

Well airlines i think have AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEMS(AIS)na ginaya ng mga merchant ships, all information are automatically transmitted and gathered from any planes on flight from one station to another along the flight route for free, this informations are then automatically stored and continuously updated on database that feds these informations over the net, if you noticed on international flights on video monitors they display the flight path, distance to go and speed, you can even track a plane nowadays, try downloading flight tracker, there are of course premium apps that needs to be purchased.

Heard from my wife's cousin to avoid eating at crowded fast food chains or restos during mallwide sales or any day when the mall gets super crowded.

He used to work at a popular pizza fast food chain and he said during those days walang linis linis ng kitchen. The pie you're eating in the afternoon was probably prepared on top of a counter that hasn't been cleaned since the store opened in the morning.

Made me wonder if we've been eating on dirty plates with filthy utensils all these years of malling. Ugh.

Why am I finding it hard to believe that you people eat at possibly unsanitary places? [emoji14]

Anyways, it just came as a bit of a shock that someone actually confirmed what I've always suspected of eating places (e.g., the greasy film floating on a glass of coke, the dried rice on a fork, the oily underside of a plate).

We used to go regularly at Aysee's near Ultra. Sometimes we'd be eating and there are cats roaming around the dining area. hahaha! I'm not finicky with food but I am with water.

And somehow fishball sold in the streets (esp the sauce) tastes so much better than fishball at home. I think yung dust at paulit ulit na mantika ang nakakasarap (though my kuya caught hepa from fishballs sold along Ayala Ave daw hahaha)

At dinner in a fastfood place, this guy made a point of having our drinks served in disposable cups instead of the dine-in plastic cups. He explained that plastic tableware will always, always have some residual grease because it's near impossible to strip that unless you use industrial grade cleaners. He worked in F&B for a while so I trusted his judgement and have since picked up the same habit to use disposable or glass whenever possible.

Yan usapan nyo about resto na using plasticware tapos mahirap na banlawan kasi after dine-in eh kunin na sa lamesa at ilagay sa container tapos contamination na of cooking oil, animal fats at million of laway eh overtime accumulate na yan at super hirap or impossible na matangal yung scum nyan. Kasi plastic kahit papaano eh parang porous pa din.

Ang maganda disposable gamitin eh yung made of carton/paper.

Ano kaya ingredients sabaw ng ma mon luk. Kasi madami nagcocomment na amoy mejas na pawis na nilulub sa inidoro. Pero sarap na sarap sa higop naman. Tapos sa fishball ang sauce na ginagamit ko lang nung elementary/highschool eh matamis na sauce kasi masarap at ito laging puno. Pero looking back ito pinakaleast ginagamit. Ang gusto kasi ng majority suka na maraming sili and sibuyas. Naalala ko tuloy yung mga tumutusok ng paisa-isa pero hindi isasagad para pag dip madali masalo yung sili and pagsubo at naanghangan tutunog na yung laway . Tapos with the same stick eh tusok na naman. Sabog-sabog ng laway yan. Kaya nung college doon na nauso yung "walang balik sawsaw"

During my college days i worked in one of famous Chinese fast food chains in Landmark foodcourt, and its true during peak hrs. Medyo naging unsanitary but not totally filipino pa naman ang nasa kitchen.. but iced tea, kasama kamay pag nagtimpla sa malaking stainless bucket sa kitchen before ilagay sa dispenser.. but ngaun meron na pre-pack ready to drink..
