As I watch episode after episode of Pawn Stars, I kept hearing the excuses, "The wife doesn't want it at home, The wife said to get rid of it, The wife said it's either that or me."

I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm not the only one with a picky wife.

some time back, i was able to score a magnificent costume for a horror-theme party, for a song.
i was wondering why so cheap,... when wifey said, "one time only. then, either that goes, or i do".
    sigh.

I remember my dad buying an expensive guitar. The problem was, he didn't know how to play one. Whenever my dad practiced, it drove my mom nuts. One day while my dad was at work, my mom took his guitar and smashed it to pieces.

My mom is the no-nonsense type who will go right to the source if she had a problem.

Nothing personal but based on your stories, I'm not getting a good impression about the missus.

She almost shoot you once and now you were punched in the face.

It just me, getting physical from either party is not acceptable. No matter how great the mistake is.

Personally, if the wife gets physical to me. I'm outta there.

Yup. That's what my Mom told me, physical violence would be the ONE AND ONLY reason it is acceptable for me to leave my spouse. May impact yan sa kids, yun nga lang few instances nakita ko nagsigawan ang parents ko napakatraumatic na sakin.

I hope you don't get mad at but I'm with shadow that nothing could ever justify physical violence. Kahit makabuntis pa ng ibang babae or mag uwi ng anak sa labas yung husband. And I know women who experienced those and never got physical with the husband.

Your wife is lucky to have such a patient and understanding husband

Yes, that's why I said nothing personal. Cuz i don't know the whole story and it was only based your posts.

I'm thinking now, I guess the biggest mistake I would do to hurt the wife is probably to sire children from other women.

i have never laid hands on my wife, its funny when we talk about it now...its easy to shrugged it off, she is less than 5 feet...its easy to make conclusions if it hasnt happen to you, but the first thing i asked myself was, did i deserve it? yes i did, kulang pa yun...i just took it like a man and moved on, btw, that was years ago, after that we had conselling, then we joined a cell group of couples with similiar experiences...now para uli kaming new couple, trials like that when you go through it will make you better...
