    Yes bro.

But in fact, technically it should be "parallel"

You put one battery in parallel with another to increase the current capacity.... And jumpstart the car...

    Bro.lsb, where are you?

A classic, snubbed piece of 20th century colonialist atrocity so rooted in global imperialism from the past that's always worth remembering despite the sheer presence of rose-tinted glasses with blinding support and diplomacy that still heavily favor our dearest uncle.

Last year when the Civil Service Commission ordered that government employees wear Filipiniana- or ASEAN-inspired outfits every Monday, I've been seeing a lot of variations to the traditional Barongs (both for males and females). Apart from the polo-jacket style as worn by BBM, there are also literally jackets with waist-band and cuffs with clearly Barong-style embroidery and color. And there are now even "suit-Barongs", perfect for cold climates (I wish I had one when I graduated in early spring).

i find it a happy, positive evolution of local fashion.

    Paternoster lift

A paternoster lift is a passenger elevator, consisting of a chain of open compartments, each usually designed for two people, that move slowly in a loop up and down inside a building without stopping. Passengers can step on or off at any floor they like.

According to Google Translate, "Pater Noster" (Latin) is "Our Father."

Kaya pala umubos ng battery ang car stereo???

Having nothing much to do yesterday, I decided to wash and wax the cars in the garage. Sobrang tahimik, parang pandemic lockdown yung buong paligid due to the Lent season so after the 2rd car, I opened the doors of the car sa dulo ng garage and turned on the stereo to play my favorite soundtracks at a moderate volume while I worked on the remaining vehicles.

After finishing the last car mga 2-3 hours later, I switched off the stereo. For some reason, I checked the battery voltage (cigarette plug type, not multi tester) and was surprised the remaining voltage left was 12.2!!!

Ganyan na pala kalakas kumain ng battery ang mga stereo ngayon? In the old days, I was taught by the Banaue boys that hindi kaya umubos ng battery yan- these were the days na wala pang mga CPU & fancy electricals ang mga sasakyan. Also, confident ako hindi ma-drain because it was a brand new, 3 day old Amaron NS60 battery that I charged in full to 12.8v after I installed it. Mind you, walang amp & woofer setup etc., just the typical stock 25W 2 speaker stereo system lang and stock touch screen head unit kasi yun lang yung naka install sa kotse sa dulo. Hindi nga lang naka pihit yung ignition to ACC setting only when I switched it on though, but all the way to on (but engine not running of course, ma carbon monoxide poisoning ako). I wonder if that had something to do with it?

Mabuti na lang I checked the voltage kaya I was able to immediately hook it up to my battery maintainer bago siya ma damage. Yun pa naman yung nakaharang sa gate ng garage so I wouldn't be able to get any cars out if it didn't start na after the holidays. Kaya pa naman maka start ng kotse ang 12.2V but still...

Ganyan na pala mga kotse ngayon?

Likely the screen. Remember the screen is biggest power drain on a phone.

probably depends also on your HU's power requirement...

i'd be interested in finding out the battery's health status.
mebbe it is on its way to dying of old age...?

i once left my innova's one filament-ed dome light on, overnight. 8 hours.
the battery was dead and un-revive-able the next morning.
it was a several months' recently-acquired pre-owned car. dunno just how old that battery was.

The stock battery of my 2024 Santa Fe died after just 18 months. I suspected that perhaps it was an old stock from Korea, but more likely ang daming accessories na ng mga bagong kotse ngayon, hundreds of sensors being monitored by the ECU, bluetooth, wifi, GPS, auto headlights, DRLs, wireless/wired chargers, cameras, etc. My friend's new-gen Corolla also had the same issue with batteries.

Malamang. And the GPS navigation system is also in the head unit. Since naka on position yung ignition, baka nagpupumilit siya mag acquire ng satellite signal eh blocked siya ng roof ng garage.

The sugar cube polio vaccine was the inspiration for the song "A Spoonful of Sugar" in the Disney film "Mary Poppins."

In the early 1960s, Jeffrey Sherman's father Robert and uncle Richard were working on music for the Disney film Mary Poppins and struggling for ideas. Jeffrey told his father one afternoon how he had received the oral polio vaccine at school that day. "Did it hurt," Robert Sherman asked. "I told him they put it on a sugar cube and you just ate it," Jeffrey Sherman wrote on Facebook. "He stared at me, then went to the phone and called my uncle Dick. They went back to the office and wrote A Spoonful of Sugar (Helps the Medicine Go Down)."

The Aston Martin Vanquish first appeared in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) before it appeared in Die Another Day (2002).

When I rewatched Tomb Raider, was surprised to see Daniel Craig play Lara's ex-boyfriend. This was before he played James Bond in 2006.

TIL that back in 2014, a filmmaker named Luke Aker made a hilariously dramatic video to sell his beat‑up 1996 Nissan Maxima for $1,500. The ad was shot like a luxury commercial, but for a car that was basically falling apart.

The video went viral, and Nissan themselves noticed and they actually bought the car from him and later produced their own follow‑up ad, fully restoring the Maxima and even had it on display.

    Luke's original ad:

    Nissan's follow-up:
