I find this disturbing that you would deem it appropriate to punish the children (if any) of the murderer with an act as despicable as the murderer himself has committed. Why should the innocent suffer the sins of the father?

Yes, the act was despicable that you wouldn't find anyone who would object to any form of punishment, as suggested by the other members, on the perpetrator.

Punish the guilty, not the innocent. Otherwise, you are no better than him.
