February 20th, 2023 12:13 PM #311So dont bring India into your argument against the big bad USA when they are aligned. And the USA isnt bullying India. In fact they are courting them. 90% of the arms of India are provided by Russia. USA sees India as a big potential market for their arms industry...and not one to be bullied.

a NY investment research firm called Hindenburg Research came out with this last month
Adani Group: How The World’s 3rd Richest Man Is Pulling The Largest Con In Corporate History – Hindenburg Research
it had a huge impact in India
of course india's richest man has ties with government
so here comes George 'Regime Change" Soros...
George Soros' claims of Adani-Modi link spark uproar in India -
Nikkei Asia
NEW DELHI -- Billionaire George Soros has kicked up a storm in India by predicting that the Adani crisis "will significantly weaken" Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "stranglehold" on government.
His remarks have led to furious pushback from both the ruling and opposition camps, with Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party saying on Friday that the 92-year-old investor has "now declared his ill intentions to intervene in the democratic processes" of the South Asian nation.
Centre, Congress Slam George Soros for Remarks on Possibility of 'Democratic Revival in India'
New Delhi: In a rare show of unanimity, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party have lashed out at US billionaire-philanthropist George Soros over his remarks that he “expect(s) a democratic revival in India”. Soros’s remarks came in reference to the Hindenburg report on the Adani Group and the opposition’s attack on the Narendra Modi government.Last edited by uls; February 20th, 2023 at 01:45 PM.

this is what Soros said about India's democracy
Speaking on a broad set of themes including climate change and geopolitics at the Technical University of Munich, on the eve of the Munich Security Conference, on Thursday, February 17, Soros said, “India is an interesting case. It’s a democracy, but its leader, Narendra Modi, is no democrat. Inciting violence against Muslims was an important factor in his meteoric rise. Modi maintains close relations with both open and closed societies. India is a member of the Quad, which also includes Australia, the US and Japan, but it buys a lot of Russian oil at a steep discount and makes a lot of money out of it…”
"india is an interesting case"
a democracy but not
and he mentions india being a member of the quad BUT india buying russian oil
hmm
sounds like they (sinong "they"? ) prefer someone more in line with the west
sounds like they wanna introduce "freedom and democracy" to indiaLast edited by uls; February 20th, 2023 at 02:28 PM.

India is an interesting case because deep down they believe that they may also rule the world as a superpower.
So they act in a way in which whatever benefits them, it shall be the best possible coursenof action.
Cheap oil from Russia, why not.
