July 12th, 2012 01:14 PM #131renewables won't be enough to meet the demand. even in developed countries, renewables are in the initial stage of application. more on pilot testing due to high cost and low output.
IMO, we should increase our geothermal energy output. yan ang abundant sa atin. minimal fossil fuel kaya minimal din ang CO2.

June 2nd, 2021 10:48 AM #136The Philippines is the second most prolific producer of electricity using geothermal energy, just next to the USA. We already have geothermal plants in Makiling and Banahaw (MakBan).
Yup. One important rule is not build one next to an active volcano.
