it took me approximately 2 hrs driving from Labo ...but if you take the Quirono route...1 hr lang pero the road is tough....it doesnt matter to Buses..but if you are driving your own vehicle..unless feel mo mga lubak,,then you can take the Qurino route,,,kasi passing through Labo town is like driving through marcos highway...and kennon road combined...smooth driving parin....enjoy your road trip,,,be safe....

    addison06,

starex po ang gamit ko.. medyo 'bumpy' yung ride sa mga lubak.. but if u can tolerate yung mga lubak then go for it..

if ur going to use a sedan, tip ko lang na 'gapang' ka lang sa quirino/andaya hway.. yung lubak kase iba iba ang conditons.. may rough part, and meron yung parang mala - humps sa lubak, may mga malalim na part.. nag iiba yung road conditons pag umulan dahil medyo maputik or hndi mo mapapansin yung lalim ng lubak dahil may tubig yung lubak.. minsan ay mapipilitan kang lumipat sa kabilang lane para iwasan ang mga lubak, wala nman masyado kotse sa daan, but be careful..

very challenging ang biyahe nmin sa quirino hway, dahil ako mismo ang nagdri-drive.. eyes on the road dapat and dapat anticipate mo na yung lubak kung malalim.. as in paliko liko ako sa pag iwas at paghanap ng smooth road dun..

when we are travelling kase to bicol, kasama ang buong family and yung iba ay tulog.. so medyo hinay hinay lang sa mga lubak.. basta, after mo sa quirino hway, ok na ang road, very smooth na approaching calauag, quezon then to manila..

    basta tandaan mo,

a.) wag masyado magmabilis kung hindi ka nman nagmamadali.. umaabot ng 80 km/hr or higher ang average speed sa normal roads.. (pag walang traffic)

b.) always check the road signs..

c.) may part na traffic sa quezon province specially pag rush hour or gabi (that's why mas gusto ko pag gabi ang biyahe dahil maluwag ang kalsada)

this is a very challenging trip.. mapipilitan ka mag overtake sa mga 12 wheelers na trucks, buses, mababagal na car, at maganda ang view ng mga lugar.. have a safe trip!

space invader: Thanks again sa mga advised mo it help a lot to prepare myself sa trip.

Sherwintommy: I'm driving nissan terrano, sa mga nasabi invader I think I'll take the long route (Labo) di naman ako nagmamadali.

This is my trip schedule, Friday drive ako from Cebu to Danao, ride for 5 hrs ferry going to Isabel Leyte ETA 1230pm, then drive passing Tacloban, San Juanico Brigde, I'll try to drive Samar during day time because like quirino pangit din ang daan doon. then early evening Allen, Samar ferry to Matnog 1hr trip. then from Matnog try to reach Legaspi para hanap na ako hotel pahinga muna. then kinabukasan deretso na ako sa Manila.

addison...what is your estimated time of arrival in legaspi?..as of now electicity is not that fully installed yet, even though there are some hotels and inns with generators there,,,if you could stretch your drive from Matnog to Naga and just stay ther for the night...at least electicity in Naga are fully restored.....far as I know...and it woud only take at least 1 hr 30 mins from Legaspi to Naga....just assess the situation...kasi i was in legaspi 2 wks ago...ghost town ang dating during night time....but i was told that some parts in town already have electricity....just check it out okay....have a safe trip...okay ang Labo route....not stressfull when you drive....merry christmas...

give a leeway of about 1hr30 mins to 2hrs from matnog to legaspi.....then private vechicles can drive through legaspi - naga 1hr 30min....okay naman ang route matnog-legaspi....pero yun legaspi-naga....there are some parts in towns wherein there are single roads...kaya vehicles take turns..,,if you will arrive late time in legaspi...you can find a hotel or any lodge there with generator so as to rest yourself and your baby as well....once you reach the junction road going to daraga from sorsogon...you will see a shell station towards your left...you can ask any of the gasoline boys or the cashier of any available hotels or lodge that have generator...i saw some of them operating along near Albay church...and towards legaspi....hope this info will be of help...when in doubt...just ask the towns people as they are very accommodating naman...happy trip and be safe....

Road condition in Samar & Bicol area?
