Alimango, alimasag, talangka or kagang eh may bakla. AFAIK these crustaceans can change *** during growth. Males do more *** changing than females. There are male crabs that do not complete the transformation from male to female and reach adulthood this way. AFAIK, males can chang *** also if the female population is low/few.

Talangka is not a crablet. AFAIK, a crablet is either a young alimango, alimasag or talangka i.e. juvenile not fully grown yet. Talangka is mostly freshwater. Mud crabs (alimango) is freshwater. Almimasag (blue crab, although some are orange) are mostly sea water species. Kagang is the coconut tree crab. Tough shell but very tasty.

I used to fish for alimango and talangka with my grandfather when I was in elementary school.

    nice info.

naalala ko nong bata ako, id set up bamboo traps for the kagang- these have one large claw and one small claw and usually live on land near bodies of water and dig their burrows. (or ibang kagang ba to?)

Question: Ano pinagkaiba ng Alimango sa Alimasag?
