I believe that GMA is relying too much on the advice of Ermita and FVR. Does she really think she can cow civilians with her tough talk?!? This is the information age. People are smarter and definitely will be more defiant if they start curtailing civil rights.

GMA's state of mind is like that of a cat caught in a corner by big dogs. panic mode. or more appropriate, to-hell-with-the-nation-i-will-remain-president mode. all actions of the president since july 2005 are solely for survival. ganyan talaga ang magnanakaw pag nahuhuli, kahit quicksand dadaanan makatakas lang.
