Biggest Nintendo Hit will soon be released after upgrading their servers because of unexpected over capacity...

Pokemon Go overtakes FB, Tinder in popularity, soon Twitter | INQUIRER.net Mobile

Who is waiting for this on googleplay/apple?

Virtually my entire Facebook feed has already tried it before it was even launched here. There were a few hours when it was launched in Australia that we could also access the servers and catch Pokemon locally.

Still waiting for the official local release though so we can fully immerse in the experience. Pokemon was our generation's hit - we were the kids who grew up with Gameboy Colors trying to catch all 151 original Pokemon. [emoji16]

If you access your bank by phone... too scary to think of the consequences.

i wouldn't be surprised if we have Pokemon Go - related accidents/deaths in the coming months, similar to those stupid selfie and planking-related deaths(it's not technology's fault that there are idiots out there).

meh. it hardly resembles the pokemon game I vividly remember.

where's the aspect where you'd have to fight the pokemon first to capture it?

instead, you only have pokeball flinging minigame. bleh.
Damn, son! Where'd you find this?

From what I've heard you'd have a real fight in your hands sooner or later - with muggers.

Gameplay is similar to Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. You can also train your Pokemon and get badges.

For many of us, catching Pokemon in the "real world" through AR is compelling enough.

sir lsb, try nyo maglaro dun sa farm nyo, baka me charizard(yun pala live bayawak) :D

Gameplay-wise, it's quite a concept -- video games that actually get people off their *$$es...but somehow not appropriate for certain places(cemetery, museums, schools, etc). Once they tweak the "off limits" areas they should be fine.

    HAHAHAHA

It's a bit disturbing that the creators didn't foresee this. Imagine if they release it here, and some kid went Pokemon hunting in the bad parts of town.

I don't think 3rd world countries were the intended market. But yeah, that's something parents should watch out for.

Kahit naman before, when Tamiya and trading card games were the in thing and people had weekend meets at malls, kids had to be wary of shady strangers too.

This requires data connection. I wonder how many kids have data plan on their phones?
