June 12th, 2011 10:46 AM #31Starbucks doesn't sell coffee. It sells coffee-like beverages. Not real coffee. Heheheh. ..peace.
Anyway, good move for Starbucks!

Good move on starbucks!!!
Sa iba na nagsasabi na lilipat sa ibang coffee shop na walang smoking ban, eh what if they implement non smoking din sa area na yun, does that mean eh di na sila mag kakape? hehehehehe
Yung price ng coffee sa starbucks dyan sa manila is already cheap compare here in china which cost around 182pesos sa isang cup lang.

SB might lose smoking customers... but it could potentially gain more non smoking ones. I know alot of people who don't like going to SB stores that have smoking areas outside because they detest second hand smoke.
Another thought... do smokers hang out longer at SB than non smokers? If they do, then this move makes it possible to serve more customers as seats and tables are freed up much more quickly.

Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
