March 25th, 2005 02:12 AM #81i like the whole idea of the iron hand in discipline, especially sa atin, tigas talaga ng ulo natin eh, ive seen cars try to go into reverse palabas dun sa mga entry slots ng pink fence, nakakatawa talaga... yung pink fences when you are in you are in talaga, halos wala kang lusot, you go like the others and line up to the nearest exit, patience lang katapat. mahirap mawala ang buses sa edsa, kasi ang laking tulong talaga nya sa commuting public, but dapat may control talaga,
ang only proposal ko is yung government-run buses tulad sa abroad, may set time and place to stop, all drivers get correct pay and hindi naghahabol maka-"boundary" para makakuha ng extra, hindi tuloy sila nangingitlog sa isang spot at nag-caucause ng traffic. ok lang naman managinip ng gising diba?

saw a big improvement on traffic last tuesday. nilakihan na nila yung mga gaps after santolan flyover going to ortigas.. so hindi na masyadong naiipit yung mga private cars sa inner lane..

Tama nga... dapat government-run, even if they are privately owned. One solution is provincial terminals, where passengers from PRIVATE commercial provincial buses get off and get on GOVERNMENT-run (but still privately owned?) city buses.
It's well known that some companies have multi-thousand peso pay-offs to the cops. Drivers and conductors on buses I ride complain about the "unfair competition" all the time.
I personally take note of which bus companies don't clog the roads. When I need to take the bus to Laguna, I always take De La Rosa. They work on a time schedule, so most drivers don't wait more than a few minutes in any one spot.

Nadale na ako diyan sa Pink Fence sa may ortigas sana huliin nila yung bus na nag ddouble park pag overtake mo di ka na makakapasok sa ilalim ng flyover, kaya ako na late sa EB.
sinabi moh! i hardly see my children now. when they were young, schedules were more predictable.
Traffic!
