Given how good phone cameras are these days with their 3-lens setups and powerful software, I'm thinking of consolidating my cameras and lenses.
Current set is as follows:
- Canon 6D full-frame DSLR
- 24-105mm f4L IS USM
- 50mm f1.8 STM
- 17-40 f4L
- Canon M100 mirrorless
- 15-45mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM
- 11-22mm f3.5-5.6 IS
- 22mm f2
I still feel that the 6D takes superior photos, but the size and weight are really a hassle especially when traveling abroad. I use it only when I have a car or won't be walking around much.
Sample 6D photo at night:
I got the M100 for travel, but quickly learned that the 15-45mm kit lens has crappy bokeh. The 22mm was supposed to be my walkaround lens but for some reason the 35mm effective focal length doesn't work very well for me. I find myself still using my 24-105mm and 50mm to get good photos with the M100, so I bring around these 2 plus the 11-22mm when I travel. Surprisingly still lighter vs bringing the 6D.
M100 with 15-45mm:
M100 with 24-105mm:
Right now, planning to do the ff:
1. Sell 17-40mm
2. Sell 22mm
3. Buy Note 10 now, sell once S11 comes
If anyone has other better suggestions, please do share.

Yes will buy S11 for sure. If I wait for S11 prices to go down, that will be around June/July so 8 months from now pa.
That's why will get a Note 10 for the interim then upgrade. Otherwise I'll get an S11 na brand new which will be around 50k vs getting one 3 months after at 40k.

^ i have no better suggestions but sell the lenses that does not cater to your shooting needs.
smartphone cameras are amazing nowadays. allow a bit more time and they may become at par or approach a DSLR quality images.

wow! bagong Note 10
nice Christmas present to yourself bro..
OT: i'm learning the editing app Kinemaster and Power Director that socmed vloggers commonly use. so much fun to collate photos into one video with matching background audio. and trim/cut parts of videos that are unnecessary, layer some texts and effects etc. no wonder marami nawiwili sa vlogging.

Try looking into Sony's mirrorless fullframe lineup.

I agree that no camera phone can match a full-frame DSLR/mirrorless in terms of image quality but the best camera is the one you have with you, and even the smallest mirrorless options today (A7, EOS RP) are still quite heavy and expensive.
1. An A7 paired with a 24-105 f4 is slightly smaller than a 6D + 24-105, but far from compact:
A7 far left, 6D far right
M100 left, A7 right
2. Going full-frame Sony is still pretty expensive. The Sony 24-105 f4 G OSS costs 60k for the lens alone. Pair that with a slightly used A7 II body and that's 100k already. I'd have to sell my 6D and M100 and all my lenses just to get 1 body and 1 lens for the Sony setup.
Maybe when the next generation of mirrorless full-frames come out, they'll be smaller and cheaper. Then I can ditch all the old gear.

Oh I see! That explains why the brembo pads seem to have a different design. The original Akebono...
