Yeah sikip dya nakakainis but I thought they banned street parking already. Relatively maluwag na raw but finding parking became harder.
It has its charms though right? A lot of stuff is cheaper from the master distributors/importers there. Some good hole in the wall restaurants too. Naka bowtie pa yung mga waiter at waitresses sa iba

Reminiscing......
Ah. The earlier days of modern digital photography. I had a Sony 1.5 (?) MP digital camera. It was bulky and expensive. It's not a bad sensor. It really was that hazy at 20,000 ft flight level. That's how high all that crud from the ground can reach.
Among flight sims, only Flight Simulator X can depict it right although I had to customize the conditions to get the accurate result. Most other flight sims make the conditions super clear.
I also had a Canon Xapshot almost a decade before I got the Sony. It stored photos in a small mini-floppy. Too bad I lost all my images from it when my hard drive crashed.
The plane (RAF jaguar) is old, the missile (AIM-9M) is old too.

From that same "roll of film." More Jaguars. I love the plane because of the weird way it carried its Sidewinder missiles. Also, I think that's northern Iraq. Although I can remember taking the photos like it was yesterday, it actually has been decades.
Early days of modern tech.

Electronics, electronic countermeasures, jammers...... They fly in low and fast over the No-Fly Zones. They're not supposed to get fired at. But, if they get fired at by AAA and SAM missile radars try to lock em up, then they boogie out of there and the NATO bombers come in with some payback.
The big cylinders are external fuel tanks. Oh. The Jaguar's main role in the region is photo-recon. I'm not sure if the camera suite is located in the nose or at the center-line stores.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; November 21st, 2019 at 09:20 AM.

Several years after I took the earlier photos, I got sent back to the region. I can't help it. Every time someone asks for volunteers, I raise my hand.
This would have been my third time.
The tech have improved a lot. Digital cameras were improving rapidly (higher MP, better sensor, etc). Of course, the day I took the photos, the haze was even worse than last time.
Same type of aircraft, different squadron, same payloads. The camera suite is definitely at the centerline pod. I wouldn't be surprised if it also had FLIR capabilities. Had to make sure Saddam wasn't bringing his tanks north to threaten the Kurds. If he did, we'd see the heat signatures, even under camo.

Probably one of the oldest photos I took on my own (early 80's). An F-106 Delta Dart which was still around even though it was a 1950's aircraft. The event was also the first airshow I attended by myself and began a long string of airshows I went to.
