This was taken with a Nikon D7100 with a Tamron 17-50/2.8 VC lens, in RAW.

Saw the new Nikon D500, kaso mahal hahaha!

Used to have the 17-50 2.8 VC also when I still had a crop-sensor body. Sold it for the 17-50 2.8 non-VC, soft talaga yung VC eh.

Eventually discovered the beauty of L lenses and there's no turning back anymore. 😂

Ahhh you shoot Canon! The skin tones that Canon renders are awesome! And L-lenses cost $$$

The Tamron was my 1st and last 3rd-party lens, because the sharpness does take a hit when shot wide-open. I've invested in Nikkor lenses instead.

My L's are the cheapo type. 24-105 and 17-40 only:

Can't justify the cost of the 24-70 f2.8, 16-35 f2.8, 70-200 f4, and 50mm f1.4. So all my lenses are the cheaper, one-stop slower versions. 😂

DR is generally good, but lifting shadows too much produces banding (known issue with the cam). Saving up for a D7200 which has a better sensor.

Ahhhhhhhh! Those lovely RED RINGS!

I also just get the f2.8/f1.8 versions instead of the much-coveted 1.4 - I also can't justify the cost (plus the bigger size and weight). My current favorite is the Nikkor 35mm/1.8 - lightweight and sharp
