Either. As above pic by Allen, the exposure time is so long, could be 30 secs or 1 minute to create the star trails. If any guest or a person been lying around walking or say moving around in the frame, with that long exposure the person will appear ghostly or invisible. A perfect timing shot, everything is idle and on standstill except for the stars, no wind, otherwise the blurry leaves of trees and bushes.
