News flash: PNP video footage reveals that one of the participants in the protest rally possessed a firearm. The video shows a man, identified as a certain Rey, picking up what appears to be a handgun from the pavement, as police were dispersing the rallyists with water cannons. In an interview over ABS-CBN's TV Patrol World, Metro Manila police chief Vidal Querol said that the video footage justifies the PNP's action in dispersing the protesters, thus clearing the police force of any liability in the incident.
In the same interview, opposition senator Jamby Madrigal admitted that Rey was one of her bodyguards and that he was indeed picking up his firearm from the pavement. However, she was quick to defend the action, saying that the gun was duly registered with both the Senate security and the PNP. Madrigal further stated that the bodyguard was merely "coming to the aid of the Filipino people." --> :bwahaha:
Querol appealed to Sen. Madrigal to submit her bodyguard to a police investigation.
