March 20th, 2004 10:34 AM #41yup it has graphic violence alright, dont the let the children watch this movie,
i'd its an ok film for me since here in the philippines we are accustomed to the 7 last word & sinakulos every holy week, unlike other countries who acknowledge and celebrate only easter sunday.
i also think that the anti semitism remark are just marketing ploy to attract more viewers,
it's true naman that jews and their high priest demanded the death of Jesus.
it's in the bible, do they say the bible is anti semitic, i dont think so...

just saw it yesterday...
and it is very graphic!!!
just keep an open-mind when you go see the film...
This is a good way to spread the Gospel.
With regards naman sa mga Anti-Semitism stuff... kasi sabi yata ng mga Hudio noong panahon ni Pilato na "his blood will be on US and OUR Children..." sabi sa new testament.

if you watch "the shroud of turin" you will know the historical and scientific reasoning about this "cross". although the shroud was later determined as a hoax (being made in the 14th century and not during the time of Christ), the facts mentioned there gives the real description of a cross. it is a big log carried on the shoulders of the prisoners with their hands tied to it. It is then hoisted on pre-erected poles by means of ropes. That is when it makes the "cross". prisoners were not actually nailed to the cross, they die of asphyxiation since it is very difficult to breath hanging down with your arms spread wide. Jesus was nailed to the cross because the jews demanded it -- "cruxify Him, nail Him to the cross!" nailing to the cross was a "special" treatment for select prisoners.Last edited by yebo; March 24th, 2004 at 10:37 AM.

Parang iyong holy grail ba iyon?

inamin na ng catholic church na hindi authentic ang shroud of turin, nagkaroon kasi ng carbon14 dating a few years back and the results confirm that the shroud is only a few hundred years old. the cloth was manufactured sometime in the 14th century, so di pwede yun ang shroud na pinambalot kay Christ dahil 2000 years na kasi nakaraan since.
it is still kept in the vatican as an artifact, a work of art, but no longer as a holy relic.
