November 24th, 2007 11:16 PM #1under RA 9492, pag Bonifacio Day (Nov 30), ang walang pasok is yung nearest monday but can still be modified by a proclamation by the president.
since friday ang Nov 30 this year, ndi kaya mas ok na wag na i-move sa monday ang no classes? it will serve the same purpose di ba? longer weekend. isa pa may plano na kami ng family ko for this friday hehehe
maybe the law should have added another provision na pag friday papatak ang isang holiday, ndi na siya ililipat sa nearest monday. para ndi na tayo mag aantay pa ng announcement.

AFIK, regular non-working holiday nga yan. and since it falls on a friday, di na kailangan ilipat sa monday yung walang pasok..
30 November 2007, Friday (Bonifacio Day), a Regular Non-Working Holiday. You have to save up for more long weekend spending from Friday to Sunday (30 November - 2 December 2007). [Added: Someone pointed to a news article, stating that Bonifacio Day will be moved to December 3. The President already declared, however, that it need not be moved to the nearest Monday because Bonifacio Day falls on a Friday, and thus already serves the purpose of RA No. 9492. Same thing with Rizal Day, which won't be moved to December 31, which is already a special holiday.]

AFAIK, if the holiday falls on a Saturday, gagawin syang Friday. If it falls on a Sunday naman, saka sya ililipat sa Monday. Just not too sure if the holiday in question is December 25 hehehe.
