    Classes in Metro Manila suspended starting 12 noon

    MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Education announced early Wednesday that classes from pre-elementary up to high school in Metro Manila are suspended starting 12 noon, an official said.

    Undersecretary Teresito Umali said that afternoon classes will be suspended in both private and public schools.

    Sabi uulan in the afternoon daw with the same intensity as yesterday morning. Err, its way off the mark here in Manila. I noted yesterday afternoon after they sent everyone home, there was little rain, the flood was gone as early as 2 pm and there was little traffic.

    Color coding has been lifted, except for Makati Republic. Again...
