September 28th, 2006 06:19 PM #1Most tsikoters have no access to PCs/Internet/Power at this time - only 11 new posts are recorded.
We have emergency power at Eastwood and we are able to tap our WiFi set up into it - so we are operational, except aircons.
We were out around 2pm along C5 to Ortigas Centre to check the office. Road debris are everywhere, and (not) surprisingly - no government emergency crew or clean up crew were seen, not even in Ortigas Centre. The supposedly astig Bgy San Antonio security were nowhere to be seen, no one is managing traffic nor clearing debris (trees and branches) on the streets.
We checked our place on VV6 - fallen trees were blocking 3 street segments - but Bgy Ugong clearing crew were at work with cranes to clear up the streets of fallen trees. Homeowners association peope as well were helping clear up a tree atop a CRV (dented roof, broken windshied, dented hood).
Shopwise run out of batteries, we got the last ones from SM Hypermart. Candles were fast moving items also. On the way back to Eastwood, C5 appeared clearer - before 4pm.

Malakas ulan dito sa Marilao. May mga puno ng natumba. No electricity here as well.
The wind was strongest between 11:30AM-2:00PM.
At sigurado din - pagtapos ng nine months - maraming magiging tatay at nanay :naughty2:

We had three brownouts lasting around 30 minutes each time here in Pangasinan. We have a sufficient stockpile of batteries, candles, water and canned goods to make it through a whole week in a disaster situation. Stay safe out there, guys.
